Editor's Note

I just arrived from my long trip. Cannot believe how hot and humid the East Coast is. I am also over whelmed with the news and information on what is happening in Afghanistan (and elsewhere).

However ... I am exhausted and I will be sleeping for the next 12 hours. Regular blogging will return later today at 18:00 EST.

UPDATE: Make that 21:00. I am one very tired blogger and I have "tons of stuff" to catch up with first.
