China Escalates Arms Shipments To The Burmese Rebel Group The United Wa State Army

With Burma in Mind, China Quietly Supports Wa Rebels -- Voice of America

BANGKOK — While Burma's military steps up battles against Kachin rebels along the border with China, security analysts say Beijing has been quietly selling advanced weapons to another insurgent group on its border, the United Wa State Army. The Wa are the largest militia in Burma and considered the biggest narcotics dealing organization in Southeast Asia.

Burma's military airstrikes and mortar attacks on Kachin rebels in recent weeks raised international concerns about the government's peace efforts. The heavy fighting in Burma's north is the worst since a 17-year cease-fire with the Kachin Independence Army broke down in 2011.

My Comment: Every country that has a border (land or marine) with China finds itself in dispute with China over their borders. Does someone see a trend here.

If you are insinuating that China claims other people's lands for no reason, your wrong. First of all, China does not claim the Wa state, it supports the Wa rebels. Secondly, none of China's disputes were started by the current communist government.

All of china's marine and land disputes date back the anti communist Republic of China government which is now on Taiwan. Taiwan also claims the entire south china sea spratly islands and the diaoyu islands, and also mongolia as well.

These claims date back to territory taken from Imperial China. The Republic of China government then drew up the map for these claims, claiming Kachin state in burma, the spratly islands and the senkaku/diaoyu islands.

The current communist government just inherited these claims and is bringing them up again. The communist government even dropped some claims which the Republic of China (taiwan) still claims, like the kachin state in Burma.

The republic of China (taiwan) and america also claimed mongolia as a province and denied mongolia entry into the United Nations until the 1960s, when the Soviet Union then threatened to hold up every other developing country's entry as well.

Taiwan has also sent boats to blast water cannons at japanese ships in the diaoyu islands, and also regularly engages in insults with Vietnam over its live fire drills in taiping island. Taiwan even fired on a vietnamese ship in 1996.

None of the current disputes China has are new. They are all ancient and inherited.
