My Comment: I do not share Peter Bergen's optimism that Al Qaeda is on the brink of extinction. Al Qaeda still has the support of millions of Muslims around the world, and even though +99.9% will not start a jihad against the West .... many will still want to. With time I do believe that this radical ideology will pass .... but for the moment Al Qaeda is alive and well in certain parts of the world .... and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
