My Comment: This is not going to be an easy task ... the problem will be the lack of actionable intelligence.

Why are we going there?
If we had not been so harsh on thr russians they might have committed troops.
I am not sure if they didn't fight for a few weeks while they were pulling out Russian citizens in a 'NEO' operation.
Sure we get experience. We also spend treasure and bleed.
Sometimes you can learn just as much by being an observer. There was at least one British observer with General Lee at Gettysburg. You can learn much about doctrine, training and tactics that work and not necessarily have to fight.
So we are going to fight and and bleed red and green. while the Chinese and Russians build up. Meanwhile whenever the congress does not need depends, they will be using the military a social experiment, a green experiment and as a place for cost savings.
Besides that the Turks, Saudis, Iranians and Gulf States have not bled near enough and they have been funding, training and urging both sides on. Let those _______ bleed.
