Update: Air strikes alone not enough to defeat Islamic State: NATO chief -- Reuters

WNU Editor: Everyone is now hinting that this war is going to go on for a long time. What also does not help the war effort is the reluctance of Iraq and of the U.S. in providing the means for the anti-Islamic State forces (such as the Kurds) to take the fight to the Islamic State .... Or non-cynical efforts to get Sunni tribes on side, and as long as both the Kurds and the Shia are persecuting the Sunni, ISIS won't lack for fighters.

Was this before or after the Al Anfal campaign?

If you remember, the Al Anfal campaign, happened during the Iran- Iraq War, when the Kurds attacked Iraq, on behalf of Iran, in Northern Iraq,

And the US did it's best to cover it up, as Saddam was Rummy's and Cheney's BFF,
