The Hague’s ruling Tuesday on the South China Sea could push Beijing and Washington closer to open confrontation.
American policymakers have yet to acknowledge that China’s increasingly belligerent Communist Party has become incurably anti-American, but we’re seeing that fact confirmed right now in bold relief.
On Tuesday, a panel convened by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague will render its decision in Republic of the Philippines vs. People’s Republic of China, which will determine the legal status of a handful of tiny islands and outcroppings in the South China Sea.
The United States is not a party to the case, but Washington has become in recent weeks the target of Beijing’s relentless barrage of criticism about it, and Sino-U.S. ties are likely to feel the impact, perhaps for a generation.

Actually China is correct.
If there were no counterweight to China, they would have simply rolled the smaller countries in court.
The court would be intimidated much as the stalwart justice Roberts was in SCOTUS.
On a related side note I wonder what the Dems have over Roberts? Is it his adopted kids? How in the Hell should I know that he has adopted kids?
Because the Left made such a stink about them being BLOND! They were like how can these kids be Latino and blond.
Then their fall back position was how is that Roberts and his wife adopted Latinos and they happened to be blond. The implicit criticism was that Roberts and his wife were racists and did not want any dark latino kids. They attempted to turn a positive into a negative

I am sure that merely being powerful with no counterweight or the fact that Chinese secret service would do something would be enough for a world court to rule in China's favor if there were no couterweight.
