Daily Mail: How do you know Russia hacked the Hillary emails? Clinton campaign is asked. 'We saw it on CNN.' Democrats admit they have no evidence of Putin link to disastrous leak
* Hillary Clinton's campaign manager Robby Mook said that no government official has confirmed the link between Russia and the DNC hack
* Today show host Savannah Guthrie was asking Mook to push back on Donald Trump's claim that the link is a 'conspiracy theory'
* Mook has said multiple times now that Russia is behind the embarrassing leak that led to Debbie Wasserman Schultz leaving her top party post
* 'I am simply going off what the reporting is telling us,' Mook said this morning on the Today show
Hillary Clinton's campaign manager Robby Mook pointed to media reports when asked for evidence that Russia was behind the embarrassing Democratic National Committee email hack.
'It's a theory that is being put forward now by CNN, by the Washington Post, by the New York Times, these are the experts speaking out on this,' Mook told the Today show's Savannah Guthrie who brought up that Republican Donald Trump has called these accusations a 'conspiracy theory.'
Mook noted that CNN had reported yesterday that the FBI is investigating the DNC hack, but admitted that no government official had confirmed the connection to the Clinton campaign.
'They have not communicated that to us,' Mook said. 'I am simply going off what the reporting is telling us.'

WNU Editor: In the past two days I have read scores of commentaries, analysis, and news stories on this issue .... and all of it blaming Russia. And now we know where the source for all of this information came from for Hillary Clinton's campaign manager to make the claim that Russia was involved .... CNN (and other main stream media news outlets) .... who themselves have no proof or evidence that Russia is involved. (Their proof is that Hillary Clinton's campaign manager said it was Russia).
You just cannot make this stuff up.
But the final word comes from President Obama .... who admits that no one can be sure that it is Russia .... Obama says it is possible Russia would try to sway U.S. election (Reuters). But President Obama then reiterates the same story line that the main stream media has been constantly playing for two days by quoting experts that they are sure that it is Russia who is involved in these leaks .... even though no one knows or can name who these experts are.
