In A First For U.S. Law Enforcment A Robot Bomb Was Used To Kill Dallas Murder Suspect

Business Insider: Dallas police used a robot bomb to kill one of the shooting suspects

Dallas police said on Friday that they used a robot bomb to kill one of the shooting suspects who was in a standoff with officers overnight.

Police had cornered the suspect in a parking garage after multiple snipers shot cops and transit officers who were overseeing a rally downtown protesting recent police-involved shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota. At least 12 officers and two civilians were shot in Dallas, with five officers left dead.

"We cornered one suspect, and we tried to negotiate for several hours," Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown said in a press conference Friday morning.

Thought I was the only one who noticed that. I'm sure we'll be sending in a robot with something more precise the next time. I hope the robot is OK.

Call the robot a drone.

Queue up the Leftard outrage.

Call the robot a drone and the shooter becomes a hero of the Left.

Yeah, roll a couple presents through the door or present them via R2D2. Beats a close quarters gun fight.

I predict that the robot will end up being the biggest part of the story as it develops. Nobody wants to deal with all the other issues.

The guy had already shot and wounded a bunch of people and, apparently, was not prepared to surrender. When you pick up a gun and shoot at people, any people, anywhere, for whatever reason, you should fully expect them to use whatever means necessary to make you stop -- even if they may offend certain sensibilities of certain people. I would even hazard a suggestion that the police were much more justified in using their "drone" than his O'ness has been on the many occasions he has used those at his disposal. With nowhere near the "collateral damage" either.

There was no little irony in the POTUS calling the shooter's actions "despicable". Perhaps Micah would have been held in higher esteem by President Moral Authority if he had provided some fascist douchebags with the weapons to do the shooting for him? After all, that's how "respectable" people do it.
