John Kerry Ditches The NATO Summit To Catch Actor Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Final Performance In The Broadway Hit 'Hamilton'

At least one lucky audience member got to hang with Kerry before the shows started

New York Post: Kerry ditches ‘most important political event of the year’ to see ‘Hamilton’

John Kerry ducked out of a NATO summit early to catch actor Lin-Manuel Miranda’s final performance in the Broadway hit “Hamilton.”

The NATO summit, which took place Friday and Saturday in Warsaw, Poland, was dubbed by the U.S. embassy there as “one of the most important political events of the year.”

The event was attended by President Obama, Defense Secretary Ash Carter, and Secretary of State John Kerry, before he dipped out early to head back to the U.S.

Update: NATO show to miss! John Kerry under fire for ditching summit to catch Lin-Manuel Miranda's star-packed last performance of Hamilton while Broadway favorite cuts off his long locks after final farewell (Daily Mail)

WNU Editor: I love how the Daily Mail puts it .... He ditched politicos like Obama, Merkel and Hollande so he could join Jennifer Lopez, Rosie O'Donnell and Jane Fonda for the closing show.

What's my take .... C'mon .... it was Lin-Manuel Miranda's final performance as Hamilton. Shesssh .... all of these anti-Broadway snobs. :)

Update #2: WHAT!!!!! I just learned that each ticket was going for $20,000. On nights like this I feel very poor.

20k?

Doesn't sound right...

Must be resale cause when i looked it up, average cost is around $380-400. Likely a sold out event and the tickets are going for around 20k to anyone desperate enough to catch the last showing.
