War Of Words Between Donald Trump And Supreme Court Justice Ginsberg

Reuters: Trump calls on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg to resign after criticism

Republican Donald Trump thrust the U.S. Supreme Court into the presidential campaign debate on Wednesday, rallying conservatives with a call for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to resign after she lambasted him in a series of media interviews.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee led a chorus of outrage over the comments by Ginsburg, who described Trump as a "faker" and speculated about the possibility of moving to New Zealand if he won the White House.

In a post-midnight counterattack on Twitter, Trump said the 83-year-old leader of the court's liberal wing had "embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me. Her mind is shot - resign!"

Whiny assed titty baby can dish it but can't take it, not even from an 83 year old Grandmother.

Right oh, Jay!

A grandmother appointed to the court by Clinton. They sure know how to call in favors from people they appoint.

Not like the Bush's did.

Yeah, but that's different.

Yup, an 83 year old Grandmother saying mean things about a mean mouthed, small fingered vulgarian, is much worse than an illegal Coup.

Bush II did more damage to the US than any of it's Foreign Enemies since That Time We Burned Down Washington.

Half of me want's to see the Mouthbreather's elect Der Furour, just to watch him fumble the "football" and have the US Nuke itself.

Just for the history.

If the teabaggers, white supremacists, Black snowflakes, and "run government as a business" gang make Trumpolini Prez, it doesn't matter how bad it goes as it will be someone else's fault. It's always the same with "exceptional" people. They are special. Just ask them. When they answer you'll understand just how "special" they are.

Killary's gang ain't no better.

The neighbourhood is getting worse Jay.

This will only help Trump..

You know exactly what you are getting with Hillary, more of the same.

Just like anybody with half a brain knew what BushII/Blair were going to screw up.

Der Furour is a case of turning the Asylum over to the Inmates.

Anything can happen, from Mandated Solent Green instead of Social Security to a full on Zombie Apocalypse.

Glad we started building that wall:

On the bright side, der Furour's Presidency would cause the Lib's to run like a scalded cat from US policies, rather than hanging on to the US's coattails.

It's good news for John McCain!

Ginsberg shouldn't have gotten involved...she's a judge, not a politician. judges are supposed to stay neutral...

Jay Farquharson said...

Thomas, Alito, Scalia and Robert's then should have kept their mouths shut over the past 24 years.

It's been a "political" job since 1789.

Transgression wise, Scalia and Thomas not recusing themselves in Bush vs. Gore, was actually criminal.

Everywhere I look I see crazy. Whether it's Der Furor or the Cookie Monster.

As for the Libs, I'd agree but the Ukraine policy has me thinking old habits die hard. Crazy may not be Canada's thing but stupid is certainly en vogue.

RRH said...

A neutral political appointee... like dry water. Right?

so Jay, you're saying two wrongs make a right? doesn't matter if other justices have done similar things in the past. she shouldn't have gone there. the supreme court needs to stay neutral.

i'm tired of people with that attitude, where they say "well, since the other party does this, we can get away with it too"

f that

That will go right over our "friend's" to the South's heads.

RRH said...

I don't see how Jay is part of "we". The point is, exceptionalist Republicans have a bad habit of calling out democrats for the same shit they themselves do. Everything democrats and republicans say about each other is true.

Pulling shit yourself and not fessing up while pointing the finger at others for doing the same thing.

F that.

Quit being so nice, logical, civil and Canadian, ; )

Goes right over their heads.

So when a human, who happens to be a Supreme Court justice and by the way is a us citizen sees de furor, as the shit head, slime ball he is, she doesn't have the right to speak up. She has a responsibility to speak up, and it took guts to set herself up for the flack. Sometimes you just have to stand up. I respect her for it. Trump is a special level of crazy, even for a Republican. If we elect that SOB the bottom may fall out in the shape of mushroom clouds, she has every reason to speak out. Jay Farquharson has this right on the money, every word. Thank you for your insight.

From Ginsberg herself:

"On reflection, my recent remarks in response to press inquiries were ill-advised and I regret making them," Ginsburg said in a statement issued by the court. "Judges should avoid commenting on a candidate for public office. In the future I will be more circumspect.”

Of course she has the right to say anything she wants about Trump, but she shouldn't say anything about him or any other candidate. Leave that to the politicians, media, etc.
