Reuters: Trump looks at retired general Flynn as possible running mate
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is giving consideration to retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn as a potential vice presidential running mate, a Republican source familiar with the process said on Saturday.
For weeks Trump has conducted a high-profile canvassing of Republican political stalwarts as part of his running mate search, but he has also made clear he is looking at what a military leader would bring to the ticket.
The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Flynn has emerged as a possibility, confirming reports in the New York Post and The Washington Post. The Trump campaign had no comment.

WNU Editor: I can see retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn being Donald Trump's National Security Adviser .... but as a Vice President and as a possible President in the event that something happens to a "President Donald Trump" .... I just do not see the political advantage in it. Then again .... who can say that this Presidential election cycle has been normal.

As a businessman, Mr. Trump does not look at "political advantage" when making a decision. He is going to look at least three things. These are honesty, integrity, and competence.
The first two are paramount. The third can be taught. If someone has the first two, they will be teachable and competence can be taught.
Myself and a number of Americans have suggested tbat tbe next administration needs to consist of a businessman as POTUS and ageneral as VP. I'm pretty Mr. Trump as a busindssman is thinking along these lines.
The long knives of the media are going to be out for this VP. As such, the vetting process will be thorough and team Trump will be prepared.
Mr. Trump will be thee nxt US president assuming Russia, China, and Mexico allow the United States to survive long enough for Mr. Trump to take office. His election to the position of POTUS cannot be prevented. Foreign and domestic officials should prepare accordingly. If they can assist him, they should do so if good relatikns with America are desired.
Will his presidency be good? This is unknown. Since his becoming POTUS canmot be prevented, the best approach would be to try and him and his team where and when posdible. Please note he was NOT my first choice.
Mr. Trump has suggested he could work with Vladimir Putin. Vladimir Putin and Russia are the most powerul nation earth has ever known and only stand to become more powerful while US ahort to mid range survival is problematic at best. As for long range, such prospects for America are almost non existent. As such, if we are to hage ANY chance we MUST have decent relations with Russia.
Mr. Trump will be the next POTUS. It cannot be prevented. I hope and pray it works out well for America.

The possible choice of general Flynn may delight the military and some part of republicans. Also reinforce their vision of international collaboration against terror network.
The problem is the double game that US, Saudi Arabia and other allies play with the terrorism.
And behind that facade, they act to destroy welfare and economy of US only for private interests.

And none of that will change with Trumpolini or Killary as president. They wouldn't even be in the running if that were the case.

You are forgetting about the American people who desparately want change and NO BODY who has the support of the Saudis has ANY chance of winning an election for POTUS. With that said many Americans are afraid.
Most all Americans look on Canadians with envy dreaming our counrty could be like Canada and only hoping that Canadians in their manifest magnificence would help us. Donald trump will be the next POTUS. This cannot be prevented.
The help of foreign powers would probably be appreciated by team Trump. Btw, NOBODY has a goal to destroy the "wellfare state." The main goals among both major American parties are how quickly can it be expanded.
