Freed Iranian Hostage Reveals That They Could Not Leave Iran Until Another Plane Had Arrived And Left

FOX News: Freed American Hostage: We Waited All Night at the Airport

Pastor Saeed Abedini, one of four American hostages released from Iran on Tuesday, joined the FOX Business Network’s Trish Regan to describe the night he was set free.

“First of all, I’m so thankful for my freedom,” he said. “There is nothing like a life of being free.”

Abedini said he and the others waited a full night in the airport. According to police, they were waiting for another plane to arrive.

“They told us ‘you’re going to be there for 20 minutes, but it took like hours and hours,’” Abedini said. “We slept at the airport.”

Abedini said the plane and pilot were there, and everyone was ready to go, but they didn’t leave until 10 a.m. the next day. They eventually flew to the U.S. in the plane that had been sitting at the airport overnight.

Update: Freed Iranian Hostage: Iranians Told Me They Were Waiting For Another Plane To Arrive Before Letting Us Go (Breitbart)

WNU Editor: Who and what was that other plane .... Pastor Saeed Abedini does not know and the White House does not want to answer that question. But here is an even simpler question ..... and  no one in the Administration, from President Obama on down, wants to answer .... did the hostages' plane leave before or after the plane arrived carrying pallets full of $400 million worth of non-US cash?

What's my take .... if that money was not delivered I doubt that these American hostages would have been released. The Iranians wanted their money back .... and the only leverage that they had were these hostages, plus President Obama's desire to have a deal. On a side note .... this is a big story, but the main stream media's coverage of it has been abysmal. They do not want to cover it .... they just want to cover Trump 24/7.

WNU Editor,

You are seeing Propaganda at it's finest.

The Payment to Iran was agreed to in January, and the cash, ( the US has no financial links to Iran, so it couldn't be a wire transfer or bank transfer) was flown to Switzerland.

>>Mr. Kerry and the State and Treasury departments sought the cooperation of the Swiss and Dutch governments. Ultimately, the Obama administration transferred the equivalent of $400 million to their central banks. It was then converted into other currencies, stacked onto the wooden pallets and sent to Iran on board a cargo plane. <<

@Jay

Maybe your right Jay. And as you said elsewhere, this was money that was stolen from Iran and Iran are simply receiving it now.

But...

The timing of it suggests that Iran 'asked' for that 'stolen money' to be received in exchange for the release of US prisoners.

If so, at the end of the day, a spades a spade, and a money in exchange for US prisoners might as well be called ransom money, even if that money is rightfully Irans.

If you called a sheep's tail a leg, how many legs would a sheep have?

...

Why would you call a sheep's tail a leg...

If that's suppose to be some kind of analogy, it certainly fails at being one.

If you called a sheep's tail a leg you might say the sheep has 5 legs even though as everyone knows a sheep only has 4 legs. Saying a thing doesn't make it so.

Accoridng to the BBC Persian reporter .... Iranian TV is calling it "ransom cash" https://mobile.twitter.com/HadiNili/status/761234020273446913

Of Course Iran is calling it "ransom cash" they are the offended party. According to the President of the United States of America Barrack Obama it wasn't ransom cash.

Eventually it will come out that it was either a partial repayment on the stolen Iranian money or a partial payment of interest thereon. When the final installment comes is made $400 million short the ransom cash or not battle will rage on.

Now if someone claimed it was ransom cash for the release of those navy guys, I might agree.

The U.S. simply could have deposited the money into a Swiss account set up by the Iranians

Certainly, the U.S. can deposit money to an account set up in a Swiss bank. Maybe the JV team at the White House is incapable of that.

Certainly if this is the result of a diplomatic initiative and the result is ratified by the U.S. Senate, the JV team could make such a transfer to a Swiss account.

Maybe the Iranians did not want a wire transfer but they wanted unmarked bills, which are fungible for black op purposes.

... And the JV team at the White House said "Thank you sir may I have another!"
