I bet it's at least as good as the Iran deal.

Another coup! They would have to have the Nobel committee issue a special medal.

I have a very hard time believing this "deal" will hold any better than previous ones. The U.S. and its "friends" (GCC, Turks etc.) can not be trusted to stop supporting their clients in Syria. This deal was made by the U.S. to buy time for the headchoppers to collect themselves as they are once again losing --even more badly this time-- against the Syrian Army, Russia, Iran and Hezbollah.

The "agreement" on separating "moderates" from "terrorists", designation of zones, and military "partnership" is fantasmic. There is no way the Russians believe the U.S. and the rest of the Butt Naked Gang are going to hold up their end. No way.

This is a February remix. Back then the "rebels" were on the losing end of the Northern Alepo Offensive and being mowed down in every counter attack they made to re-open the supply line to Turkey. The U.S. pushed for a ceasefire. The headchoppers, backed by their sponsors, including Washington, then used the time to re-arm, re-brand and re-organize in order to launch their own offensive against the Syrian Army in the south.

History aside,

It is also very hard to believe the Iranians are willing to go along with the Russians on this unless a commitment has been made by Moscow to go hole hog in Syria if (when) the U.S. side fails to live up to their side of the deal. The Chinese are also watching very closely, and they don't trust the U.S. at all.

One thing is certain, when this latest ceasefire/deal/canard collapses, all hell is going to break loose in Syria and the "rebels" will curse the sky over their heads and the ground beneath their feet like never before.
