Canadians Are Not Worried About Terrorism

Global News: Canadians less worried about terrorism than the rest of the world: Ipsos poll

Canadians are less concerned about the threat of terrorism than most other countries, according to a new Ipsos poll.

The poll, released Wednesday, asked respondents from all over the globe what they found most worrying about their country – from unemployment and healthcare coverage, to crime and terrorism. Only 10 per cent of Canadians polled said terrorism on home soil was their main concern, compared to 21 per cent globally.

WNU Editor: As a Canadian citizen .... I have to agree. Terrorism is not on the worry list for most (if not all) Canadians. But what surprised me (and makes me question this poll) is that according to this poll Russians care even less about terrorism. Hmmmm .... I do not think so. The economy is the number one priority for my Russian family and friends, a new Cold War and Ukraine are a close second, and terrorism after that.

Terrorists don't like cold weather I guess...go figure.

So far terrorists within Russian territory have not been very successful (I mean, since the end of the last Chechen war). If it's a third it is a distant third.

Health Care, Education, Economy are the priorities for a good many of us. Hydro bills if you live in Ontario.

That being said,

I feel terrorized every time I see those numpties Ottawa announcing a new policy initiative.

Canada is not a military power.

They might have a plane able to fly the Queen piloted by a murderer/rapist, but that is about it.
