Chinese Public Names The U.S. As Their Top Threat

The Hill: Survey: China sees US as top threat

A plurality of the Chinese public considers the United States to be the top threat to their country, according to a survey released Wednesday by the Washington-based Pew Research Center.

More of the survey’s respondents ranked the United States as a threat to China than they did the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Russia, global climate change, cyberattacks, refugees and global economic instability.

Forty-five percent of those surveyed said they view the United States’s power and influence as a major threat to China. Another 38 percent said they consider the United States a minor threat, and 10 percent said it’s not a threat.

In spring 2013, 39 percent of people in the same survey thought the United States was a major threat.

Well, that's their right. China is a major threat for us too.

At present, we are to dependent upon "made in China" to pose much a threat to them. While this can be changed, it would take some time to do so.
