Is The U.S. Presidential Election Fixed?

CNN: Obama: Trump's rigged election claim 'whining before the game's even over'

Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama on Tuesday cast Donald Trump's claims of a rigged election as potentially corrosive to American democracy, insisting that the Republican presidential nominee was griping about an invented conspiracy.

"You start whining before the game's even over?" Obama said during a news conference in the White House Rose Garden, adding that Trump's claim is "not based on facts."

Trump and his surrogates have increasingly claimed the US election system is "rigged," coming after two lackluster debate performances and a drop in poll numbers nationally and in key swing states. He's urged his supporters to monitor polling sites for potentially ineligible voters attempting to cast ballots.

My biggest concerns with elections are the major loop holes that allow for fraud, and under the guise of "denying someones right to vote" we are allowing others to vote multiple times without consequence. Just as a casual observer I can see many ways to to commit fraud just at my local polling place...no ID required.

Jay is right,

U.S. Civil War II starts November 8. The only question is will it be political, "kinetic" or both.

War News Updates Editor said...

I disagree with Jay's kinetic version on this one RRH.
But there is a civil war in the Republican Party right now .... between the people who run the Party, and their members. Pat Buchanan warned about this 10 - 15 years ago, and it is now unfolding as we speak.
The establishment (representative of both parties) have also exposed their true colours in this election cycle .... and the stuff that Wikileaks is exposing .... wow .... how can you top that.

Bottom line. I can easily see one of the lowest turnouts in a U.S. Presidential election this November.

LMAO,

A Republican Senate Committee investigated "voter fraud" between 2004 and 2012.

Out of almost 1 billion votes, they found 31 cases of "Identity Fraud".

LMAO.

You are going to be surprised by the turn out on the Dem's side.

Question is, will Trump's "rigged election" suppress Rep's turn out, or will it increase it. Nobody knows.

On the other hand, Trump's calls for "poll watchers" has the FBI ramping up for Nov. 8th, as much of what he is asking his base to do, is a Federal Felony called "voter intimidation".

There is voter fraud in the United States, but whether it is large enough to alter the outcome of a Presidential election is debatable.

The Democratic Party spends enormous resources opposing ordinary, routine measures to make voter fraud harder. Here are a couple of examples:

(a) photo identification. Americans must present photo ids to cash checks, buy alcohol, buy prescription drugs, or to see certain movies. The Democratic party strenuously opposes presenting photo ids to register voters, and when people show up to vote.

(b) purging rolls. The Democratic party staunchly opposes routine efforts to purge voter rolls of dead people, people who have moved, etc.

Now why does the Democratic party go to such lengths? It is hard to believe that their motives are innocent.

A note about "proven" voter fraud: most deniers of fraud count only criminal convictions as proven instances of voter fraud. For many reasons few cases are actually prosecuted. The absence of convictions does not prove that it does not happen. Note also that most deniers (including President Obama) add the adjective "widespread" before asserting that no fraud exists, i.e. there is no proof of "widespread" voter fraud. In this context, "widespread" cover a lot.

Where Trump errs is in his sloppy rhetoric. It is true that most of the American establishment, and the media, are doing everything they can to defeat him. Prediction: if Trump starts to close on Hillary in the polls, expect the IRS to leak his tax returns. Such a leak would be illegal, but ask Lois Lerner if anything will happen to the leaker. Trump sloppily says that the election is "rigged". His attacks would be more effective if they were more precise.

It's called "combatting voter suppression".

Repubs in WI, brought in manditory Voter ID's via the WI DMV.

That's bad enough, the DMV sucks, period.

Then they closed all the DMV offices in Democratic Districts.

Jay, the law in WI is absolutely not voter suppression. All that's required to vote is a drivers license. If you don't have a license, the state will give you a free voter ID.

Your claim about the DMV closures, totally false. If you don't believe me, check out PolitiFact. This was a claim made by a liberal hack at the Daily Kos.

The only correct thing you said is that yea, the DMV blows.

No cost, no unnecessary burden for voters and yet the Dem's still oppose this law.

Jay Farquharson said...

Gonna go with the ACLU on this one.

well, I'll go with the courts

Jay Farquharson said...

You are going to have to wait a while then, as the Courts have gone 4:3 on it so far, and it's back infront of the Judges.

At this rate 17 more Courts to go before there is a "final" decision.

fine with me. in the end this will be upheld.

Jay Farquharson said...

Maybe, maybe not.

If it was a slam dunk it would have ended at 3:0

LOL, ACLU...very reputable source.

Yeah I know, defending Constitutional Rights, even of Republicans, is so sketchy.

Jay voter fraud is real it cannot control an election but it can sway a close election.

caught red handed. By the way so far both guys have been fired which means nothing because they will just open a new not for profit and continue on. In a sane US the FBI would be up their a*s rounding up all associated with this admitted voter fraud. But O's america not so much.

By the way all Trump today said he is going to push for a constitutional amendment for TERM LIMITS. YES that will be the end of politicks as a career path, the number one problem generating corruption, very simply the mind set is very different from a career and a civil service. Fight the establishment elite vote Trump.

>>In a speech in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Monday night, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump drilled down on his new favorite talking point — warnings that the election may be “rigged” against him.
In the speech, Trump alleged that “it is possible” that illegal votes from undocumented immigrants (who, although they pay taxes, are not allowed to vote) may have won President Obama the state of North Carolina in 2008.
“It could have provided the margin of victory,” Trump said.

There’s no credible evidence backing up Trump’s claim. Nonetheless, his campaign is backing him up — with even more misinformation.

In an interview with local Boston radio, Trump’s campaign co-chair Sam Clovis was asked if Trump’s unsubstantiated claims about North Carolina were “irresponsible.” Clovis said that instead, “it raises an issue.”

“I’ve done a lot of work and study in this area, so here’s what happens: you have the opportunity for illegal immigrants to come to the state, and the state loosens its laws to provide for individuals to get drivers licences in the state, illegal or otherwise,” Clovis said. Then, he alleged, once the undocumented immigrants have the photo ID, “what happens sometimes is that you are able to register to vote because you establish residency.”

Clovis’ defense of Trump’s comments is based on a wholly false premise: North Carolina does not allow undocumented immigrants to obtain drivers licences.<<

Watch James O'Keefe videos of voting fraud in New York.

Up thread, it's already been mentioned.

You know Okeefe is a conman, has faced numerous criminal charges, and doctors video's.

Remember the 60 Minutes episode where to "prove" saddle tanks on pickups were dangerous, by placing explosives inside?

Or the Consumer's Reports on the Suzuki Samari where to "prove" it would roll over, they drove it at high speed through a slalom course, that also caused a Porsche 911 to roll?

That's what Okeefe does and his PAC collects millions of dollars from donors to do that.

She doesn't, other than she knows how "the system", from Primaries to How to Pass Legislation works, and she adopted 65% of Bernie' Platform, although none of it will pass,

http://www.boomantribune.com/story/2016/10/18/135553/86

The House and Senate haven't managed to pass a budget, all they have managed is temporary spending extendions to avoid Default and the collapse of the US dollar.

The Dem's are running a "ground game". In Florida, 23 fully staffed offices involved in GOTV, 275,000 new registrations a month, 23% increase in early ballots, (+14 in a -23 State),

Trump, 3 offices, one across the street from the Pulse nightclub, barely staffed, no new registrations, down from 45,000 to 15,000 in rally turn outs, almost non of them "new".

Trump's keeping the Trump Voter from the Primaries, but he's not winning Independents or Undecideds, he's not working to register new voters, and 46% of Registered Republican's isn't enough vote by far, to win an election.

Trumpism has put Alaska, (-3), Georgia, (-5) and even Texas(-6) in "play", States D's could only dream of winning. He's p/o'ed the Mormons so Utah and Nevada are also in play.

In the end, it's the Electoral Collage that decides things and Hillary right now is up between 91% and 95% probability.

Trump's "war" on the GOP has put the down ballot R's at risk, right now the "probable" is 57% for the Senate, up from 48% at the end of the primaries, and even the House is starting to come into play.

In the US, you have to win at "politics", speechifying doesnt cut it.
