The Independent: Russia sending three submarines towards Syria in preparation for major assault on Aleppo

Russia previously used the vessels to target Isis in Syria.

Three Russian submarines armed with cruise missiles have reportedly joined a naval battleforce heading towards Syria.

The Royal Navy and Nato have been tracking the two Akula-class submarines and a diesel-powered Kilo-class sub as they travelled to join the fleet of Russian ships headed by the Soviet-era aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov.

You can mask news of civilian casualties in Aleppo when the Battle of Mosul gets into full swing.

Putin is making a calculated (& good) PR move.

The American press will want to criticize him being the good apparatchiks they are. However, much of the oxygen will be sucked up by the Battle for Mosul, since the good presstitutes, press prostitutes, have to lavish praise on the Dear Leader and 'his' victory.

The press has used a moving spotlight looking at this topic for a short period of time before darting off to some interesting topic, that they simply cannot give a dashboard view of the news.

The Americasn press does news ADHD style and has for years. The habit is so ingrained, they probably cannot stop now.

So Putin is waiting until the IA goes the final 4 miles, actually reaches Mosul, and the battle hots up.
