Protests Against Donald Trump's Electoral Win Are Expanding

Washington Post: ‘Not my president’: Thousands protest Trump in rallies across the U.S.

Nationwide demonstrations against the election of Donald Trump spilled into a second night Thursday with thousands of protesters surrounding his buildings in New York and Chicago and clashing with supporters of the president-elect in some areas.

Condemning Trump's litany of crude comments about women and his attacks on immigrants, demonstrators marched along city streets, blocked intersections, burned effigies and, in some places, gathered outside buildings bearing Trump's name.

“Not my president,” chanted some of the protesters, while others waved signs with the same message.

WNU Editor: These protesters are not interested on compromise and reaching across the aisle .... they are more are focused on violence, intimidation, and hate. My prediction .... these protests are going to get worse. As for the Democrat Party .... they are preparing for total war .... Obamacare defenders vow 'total war' (Politico).

Good strategy, shut down streets and freeways in liberal cities so that all the Hillary supporters can't get to work...brilliant.

"My prediction .... these protests are going to get worse."

Agree, but definitely an understatement. Things will get much, much worse before they get better.

These riots are reinforcing what I've been telling friends for years now - liberals are like children, very emotional. They don't get what they want and immediately throw a temper tantrum. The longer you go without disciplining them, the worse it gets.

This remind me of "I did not vote for Berlusconi" protest in Italy.

Too late guys, too late.

But continue to defend Obamacare, climate treaty and the peace wit all your might.

Ya'all called our president names like Obummer and Obamanigger for 8 years. For 8 years you would have blocked him if he tried to pet a kitten. You behaved like children for 8 years, and you have the stones to call us children? What the f is wrong with you people? Damn right it's going to get worse, half the country is as sick of your shit as you are of ours. It doesn't mean one side is right our wrong, it just means we are about to tear each other apart. The next civil war is going to be far worse than the first.

I want to be clear here, I am by no means inciting violence, nor is the left. The people smashing windows and looting right now are anarchists. They do not represent Bernie or Hillary's fan base. Those people are protesting peacefully. The vandals are just thugs. But we are going to be at each other's throats if we don't de-escalate the division. You can't just walk in and say you're going to tear this this and this previous administrations work up and expect us to be ok with it. We worked very hard to make some of those things happen. Sorry you don't like it, at least be respectful when you tear it down, or try to work with us. It's like half the people in the room want pineapple on their pizza and the other don't, so we compromise. We get a split pizza. We don't hate on each other. We figure it out. People on both sides treat this like this is a football game. It isn't. United we stand, divided we fall. So we disagree on some things, do you want to figure out a work around or do you want to squash us? We need to work together or this split is eventually going to go out of control. Don't think for a minute the average leftist is burning stores. That's not what we do. Nor do we all want to take your guns away, trust me, we have plenty of our own. We can't go on indefinitely fighting each other, or someday it really will be a fight. We have to do something to heal this division. Not calling us children would be a start. We are all people. Some of us ain't so bright, some of us are, on both sides, with different perspectives. We can peacefully protest and be respectful, so can you. Again, anarchists destroying stuff, not the left. And be clear too, most of us who voted for Hillary did it because we don't like Trump. We can do a lot better than her. I sure as heck don't like her or trust her.
