The Hill: Report: Trump to pick Michael Flynn for national security adviser

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is reportedly set to become President-elect Donald Trump's national security adviser, according to NBC News.

Flynn, who has been a military adviser to Trump throughout his campaign, was rumored to be a top choice for the position, the National Review reported Wednesday.

Jason Miller, an aide to Trump, said Flynn met with the president-elect on Wednesday and said he would be a "fantastic addition" to the team.

"No formal announcement yet for that position. Gen. Flynn met with the president-elect today. He has been a companion on the campaign trail quite a bit, as we've seen over the past few months," he said in an interview with Fox News's Megyn Kelly.
