Russia Is Using The Syrian War To Sell Its Weapons

© Sputnik/ Pavel Lisitsyn

L.A. Times: How Russia's military campaign in Syria is helping Moscow market its weapons

Over the last year, Russia’s Defense Ministry has released dozens of videos showing how its bombers and fighter jets hit targets in Syria or supported President Bashar Assad’s ground troops with gunfire and missiles.

Major international networks have played the videos — along with the images of visually stunning, albeit militarily insignificant, launches of cruise missiles from Russian warships and submarines in the Caspian and Mediterranean seas.

A shaky YouTube clip showing how a Russian-made T-90 tank and its Syrian driver survived a shot from a U.S.-made “tank killer,” a tube-launched BGM-71 TOW missile, in Aleppo has 2.8 million views. Other videos feature Russian-made weaponry being used in Syria.

WNU Editor: Arms exports is the #2 money maker for the Kremlin (after oil and gas) .... so yes .... anything that can help Moscow sell and market its weapons will be taken advantage of.

Usual Suspects Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), CNN, etc

I guess selling weapons to Australia, Singapore, South Korea, India is verboten. Even now RRH is giving birth to a new river.

I don't the anons & RRHs of the world will make much of a fuss about Chinese or Russian arms sales outside of their safe spaces.

You might find the pusillanimous RRH find the temerity to shackle himself to the fence around the White House. You would never find that coward protesting in Red Square or Tiamen Square.

I further suppose that selling arms to Vietnam so it can stand up to China is a bad ideal.

Proliferation 'ya know' (Sorry, I wanted to talk write like Ambassador Kennedy, a lady of high breeding).

Instead of selling Vietnam weapons all that is need is a stern letter to the editor by RRH.

...cuz you know china fears that.

Oh Aizino, you're so cool, brave, self righteous and Alt that.

Aizino Smith said...

The highlight of your life was marching in the nuclear freeze marches along with John Kerry with all the other fellow travelers/dupes doing the bidding of the USSR

It was also helping Ted Kennedy draft a letter to the Kremlin telling them to ignore Ronald Reagan.

Well at least n your dreams.

Jay Farquharson said...

Actually, the "highlight" of RRH's life was serving with the Canadian Army in Afghanistan and discovering that "everything" he had been "taught" about Western Mores and Interventions was utter bullshit.

RRH said...

You sir, are the Man.

Aizino Smith said...

Yup, digging wells is a horrifying experience.

RRH said...

I suppose, Especially with the Afghan version of the Alt Right running around.

Aizino, you wouldn't last an hour.

A cool breeze and a good f-k would kill ya.

RRH said...

and it shows us just how much you know about it over there. The rule was, any hole over 6" to be dug/drilled required the ground to be checked and cleared for UXO, bio weapons etc

The biggest idiot on this forum

Makes Miguel look like a Rhodes Scholar.

RRH said...

We called the Azinos of the Sandbox, "numpties".

RRH said...

It took a brave person to dig wells, or anything else, in Kandahar Province.

The Aizinos don't even know what end of the shovel to hold, let alone the rifle. That's someome else's job. Their job is to sit in mommy's basement and run up the data charges and grocery bill while Juanita does the laundry and Gomez cuts the grass.

Aizino is so dumb he voted to deport the people who do all the work so he'll have time to hide from it.

RRH said...

What a lazy, stupid loser you are Aizino.

Run a hot bath....

Aizino Smith said...

So RRH is really butt hurt about civil reconstruction.

It figures that he would say he is for other people but when it came to helping them it chafes his ass.

RRH said...

Aizino, the only thing you've ever constructed in your life is a warped sense of reality.

RRH said...

Totally, utterly clueless.

Chafed. You mean like when someone mentions to youproviding education and health care?

Oh yeah, you're all about "helping" people Aizino. Helping them out of an education, affordable health care, security, national sovereignty, anti racism laws, the right to choose...

oh yeah, that Aizino, he's a real helpful guy

he could be counted on to throw acid in a woman's face for learning how to read or better yet, to sell the thrower the acid and call it "re-construction".

RRH said...

helping them out of their social security, helping them out of affordable housing, helping them out of
a decent living, helping them out of safe neighbourhoods, helping them out of the freedom to worship as they choose

Oh indeed. So helpful. Do tell.

Funny, Halloween is three weeks past, but Aizino is sill dressed up in his ghost costume.

Aizino Smith said...

So RRH, it seems you are projecting.

How much acid did you sell to the Taliban?

RRH said...

I'll bet you peed yourself witg glee when your brother in misogyny, Hekmatyar was invited to the peace table.

After you give him his status, I wonder What cabinet portfolio will you lobby for him to assume at the Reichstower in NY?

Aizino Smith said...

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar was created by the Pakistani ISI just like the ISI 'created' the Taliban. The ISI like him because he did not have strong tribal support, so he would have to rely on Pakistan.

"The Pakistani military had supported Hekmatyar until then in the hope of installing a Pashtun-dominated government in Kabul, which would be friendly to their interests. By 1994, it had become clear that Hekmatyar would never achieve this, and that his extremism had antagonised most Pashtuns, so the Pakistanis began turning towards the predominantly Pashtun Taliban"

Hek stayed with your buddies the Iranians. When they kicked him out, you bawled like a wus.

Aizino Smith said...

RRH, why did you give up so easily with your Black Friday protests?

Too cold for a wus like yourself?

RRH said...

The Pakistani...well, you know all about them, seeing as how you've been paying their bills.

Anything goes when comes to hoes eh, pimp daddy?

Is that DERF money or DERP money. No matter to you eh, as, like mommy's social security, it's somebody else's money. That's all that counts in the end.

You play, somebody else pays. No wonder you're cheering in Kim Don Orange's upcoming big purge of the public purse. I mean, he's a kindred spirit and all.

Black Friday...

Who'd ya hose into wrestling over the buck fifty towels at Walmart for ya you cheap prick.

Let me guess, you blackmailed the domestic undocumented help with a letter to the Grand Imperial Wizard in charge of the immigration portfolio.

RRH said...

Only Gabby Johnson does Gabby Johnson better than you, Piss Tank.

Aizino Smith said...

"The Pakistani...well, you know all about them, seeing as how you've been paying their bills. "

Jimmy Carter placed an embargo on them in the 1970s. When 911 hit it was necessary to play ball with the Pakistanis to get at the Taliban.

It is very expensive to ship stuff via air to supply an army. The U.S. needed a sea land route.

But what would a piss ant know of transportation?

Aizino Smith said...

"Who'd ya hose into wrestling over the buck fifty towels at Walmart for ya you cheap prick."

No, I splurge for $5 or $10 t-shirts. If you can do that life is good.

RRH said...

Oh Aizino, you're so thrifty.

I'll bet they're white t-shirts.

And it'd be a shame to cut eye holes in $20 duds wouldn't it?

White queen sized bed sheets were Black Fridayed at three sets for $10.

For a ten you could of outfitted yourself and all your friends in new evening digs and still had a couple of sets to mail to Sessions, Bannon and the gang as a donation to THE CAUSE. The pillow cases would of saved you a couple of tees too.

Just sayin....

Aizino Smith said...

The t shirts were in anything but white or a bright color.

They we 2 to 3 times the cost.

That should have given you a clue hoser.

RRH said...

Good for Imperial Wizards and Dragon hoods eh.

Like I said, ever the thrifty shopper!

Aizino Smith said...

No, good for camo and wicking away sweat.
