Why Did Hillary Clinton Lose The U.S. Presidential Election

In an election where Hillary Clinton had a unified Democrat Party behind her, a compliant and supportive main stream media, an enormous advantage in fund raising and advertising support, an organised take-out-the-vote ground game, a supportive Democrat President who enjoys a +60% approval rating, against a candidate with no political experience with little if any support from the Republican establishment .... and in in fact outright opposition who was always facing a hostile press that amplified his many character flaws and concerns coupled with an organisation that was (until the last few weeks) deeply disorganised and underfunded .... this was Hillary Clinton's election to lose.

And she lost .... though she can claim a moral victory that she got a hundred thousand more votes than Donald Trump.

But she still lost.

The reasons why .... there are many.

She was an uninspiring candidate, that could not draw the crowds unless she had President Obama with her .... or rock stars. And if there was someone who was passionate to vote for her .... it was more of an anti-Trump vote rather than a pro-Hillary Clinton vote.

Her past caught up to her .... 30 years of public service and promises of more of the same was not what many voters wanted to hear.

The rise in Obamacare premiums weeks before the election shocked a lot of people .... and her explanations that she will fix it was not believed.

Wikileaks .... a month of embarrassing leaks .... only reinforced the impression on how fixed the political system is.

The FBI. She may have been exonerated by the FBI on how she handled top secret documents and communications .... but it only reinforced the impression that there is a law for you and I, and one law for her.

Corruption. The use of the foundation as a "pay for play" scheme to make the Clinton family rich may have been ignored by the main stream media .... but talk radio and the internet played up the story .... and many were able to connect the dots on what was happening.

But the main reason why she lost is probably this one .... white voters deserted the Democrat Party and specifically her .... and they came out in force to vote for Donald Trump. There are two news posts that caught my eye on why this happened .... the first one comes from this poll in Michigan .... Poll: Mich. white working-class voters favor Trump 2-1 (Detroit News). But the more important post and analysis comes from one of the shrewdest politicians that the U.S. has ever had .... and that person is Bill Clinton who saw what was happening a year ago .... Leaked Bill Clinton Speech: Obama Years Left No Hope For White Working Class (Daily Caller).

When a segment of the population feels alienated and left out .... they will always react. And man-o-man .... white voters in rural, non-urban, and the rust-belt came out in force last night .... and they made their voices heard rebuking the Democrat and Republican establishments, the media, the globalists, and the many special interest groups that seem to always get what they want from Washington.

She was not exhonerated by the FBI. The FBI chose not to profer charges. The Clinton Foundation, however, is still under investigation. She wasn't/isn't trusted because of her corrupt, and possible criminal, behavior throughout her time in the public eye, and in public service. Those are the core reasons why she lost.

WNU,
Very good analysis.
Especially: "In an election where Hillary Clinton had a unified Democrat Party behind her, a compliant and supportive main stream media, an enormous advantage in fund raising and advertising support, an organised take-out-the-vote ground game, a supportive Democrat President who enjoys a +60% approval rating, against a candidate with no political experience with little if any support from the Republican establishment .... and in in fact outright opposition who was always facing a hostile press that amplified his many character flaws and concerns coupled with an organisation that was (until the last few weeks) deeply disorganised and underfunded .... this was Hillary Clinton's election to lose."
It is to be remembered that when you talk of the sides in this election (moment, etc) Hillary was her side, while Trump though not a part of, was in front of his.

We will get many explanations for what took place. Anon says she is guilty of that which the FBI has said she is not guilty. Clearly a lot of white voters felt neglected. Ok. Now will we bring back industry from China, build the wall along our border. Do away with climate change plans; nullify the treaty with Iran? The GOP wisely put off dealing with the Court, and now they may put in place two members. A lot of Trump voters will be looking to see how their guy brings back or preserves a way of life they had or have or want. Ball in his court now.

fred lapides: Read it again. The FBI does not determine guilt or innocence. They decide whether or not to charge. The FBI chose not to charge. That in and of itself does not necessairly mean guilt, or innocence. However, there is still an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation operations.

The FBI just INVESTIGATES. It does not indict. At the Federal Level, that is the job of the Justice Department or a Federal Grand Jury. At the local level, the police investigate and the District Attorney indicts. What Comey did was relieve the Justice Department of their RESPONSIBILITY to perform their duty. It was a cover-up and it worked. Now let's watch what happens next.

Whites males did not abandon the Democratic party, we were shown the door. I was a life-long Democrat, voting twice for Obama, twice for her husband, voted for the first woman senator from Missouri, etc. Yet I watched the convention and it was clear to me that I was no longer wanted in their Amerika, so I went shopping as probably many other white males did. It was racism and sexism, not by us, but directed at us that sank the new demoncratic party of Killary.

no charges suggested or brought..no cover up. Investigate foundation? why not. And while at it, ask why there are 4 thousand accounts under the name "trump" in recently released Panama Papers...
