AP Report: Trump Administration Considered A Proposal To Mobilize 100,000 National Guard Troops To Round Up Illegal Immigrants

WNU Editor: A total fake story. And from the Associated Press to boot. The White House denial is here .... No plan to use National Guard for immigration enforcement - White House (Reuters).

Update: The memo in question is here.

Looks like it maybe a "fake" story to ferret out who is leaking stuff to the press.

I hope they do ferret out some people, pink slip and black ball them.

Let see how many people Soros and Obama can put on their payroll and how obvious they will be in rewarding undercover operatives who are caught.

If this was used for the purposes of trying to ferret out leakers and someone actually fell for it, then these people are even stupider than I give them credit for. Actually I don't think it is stupid per say but ideology which tends to make people stupid.

These people have such hatred for Donald Trump and the military that they would believe just about anything negative about them. As such, they failed to ask some basic questions.

I first saw this here and as the editor already pointed out, fake news. Now had I seen it first elsewhere my assumption would have been a spoof and a very bad one at that.

At least several basic questions would need to be asked. 1.) The United States military is spread extremely thin, morale is low, and training especially for the national guardsmen is suspect at best. As such, where do we find 100,000 national guardsmen properly trained for this kind of military operation just sitting on the sidelines waiting to be used and able to be used in this manner? It would be a military operation as many of the illegals especially those from south of the border have advanced military training and would not go quietly. 2.)Assuming the necessary forces existed which is unlikely they do as we would be hard pressed to just suddenly pull those off of other various operations around the world to do this the court challenges on something like this would be extreme to say the least. In other words the court challenges would have come long before we could get anywhere close to doing this and if DJT could not get his limited immigration freeze through how does anyone think the courts would back this move? 3.)The world reaction against America would be extremely fierce and the lobbying against this would have been heard loudly long before DJT could get to the point of actually calling up 100,000 reserves. How would anyone think he could get around all of this?

Essentially to expect one to believe this is a bit like believing in flying unicorns. Then again ideology tends to makes people stupid.

Leaked draft orders don't mean that policy is about to be implemented. People write up all kinds of crazy proposals, presumably. But the leaks mean either a) someone wants it to be at trial balloon to see if it flies b) someone wants to shoot down the trial balloon before it leaves the ground. The White House has quickly denied this one, but denial doesn't make the story untrue. It just means they aren't yet ready to announce it, and may never be if enough shit is kicked up
