Washington Free Beacon: Iran Warns Trump Against Disclosing Secret Iran Deal Documents

Iran claims disclosure threatens deal.

Senior Iranian officials are warning the Trump administration about disclosing secret deals related to the nuclear deal that have long been hidden from the public by the Obama administration, according to recent comments that prompted pushback from senior sources on Capitol Hill.

Iran's warning comes on the heels of a Washington Free Beacon report disclosing that former national security adviser Michael Flynn had been pushed out of office partly due to his intention to release these sensitive documents to the American public.

Leading lawmakers in Congress launched multiple investigations last year into the Obama administration's efforts to keep these documents secret and out of public view. Sources who spoke to the Free Beacon about the matter said that the Trump White House is working on ways to publicize this information despite warnings from Iran.

WNU Editor: The sticking point for Iran is the following ....

..... The head of Iran’s foreign policy committee, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, warned: “If Trump wants to publish confidential documents exchanged between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, it will in fact constitute a violation of the agency’s obligations, because the agency has been committed not to make Iran’s confidential nuclear information and documents available to any country, including the U.S.”

But I suspect that there is more to these documents than what they are telling us.

People forget, it's the 5+1 Agreement, so Russia, China, Germany, France, the US and lastly, Iran, all have full copies.

Reminds me of the Agreed Framework.

I suspect that these documents will see the light of day one day .... but not now. Too many players are involved, and as much as the White House may want to make them public .... too many deals need to be done first before that happens.

President Bannon can declassify and release anything he wants.

There's a whole cluster of Trumpista's hiding a waron in their kakis' for Iran.

All that seems to matter is who get's a bad idea into Alternate President Trump's ear last.

I'm sure there are all kinds of interesting geopolitical concessions in this deal. Especially since Iran was thwarting a lot of US activity in the region.

Depend whats in that secret print.

I would like to believe that O actually cut a deal that was good for the US position via the secret print but just looks bad on the surface public face for Iranian political benefit at US political cost. Sadly considering the known details and the revelations like the ransom payments etc... I would bet that secret print just further damages the US position goals in favor of Iran.

"face for Iranian political benefit at US political cost."

We should just make it public.

Make life as fucking hard for Obama as he is making it for Trump with his shadow government.

I hear Mugabe is at death's door, so their is an opening in Zimbabwe for Obama to apply his magic. He could become president for life there.
