New York Times: Trump Offers No Apology for Claim on British Spying
WASHINGTON — President Trump refused to back down on Friday after his White House aired an unverified claim that Britain’s spy agency secretly monitored him during last year’s campaign at the behest of President Barack Obama.
Although his aides in private conversations since Thursday night had tried to calm British officials who were livid over the claim, Mr. Trump made clear that he felt the White House had nothing to retract or apologize for. He said his spokesman was simply repeating an assertion made by a Fox News commentator.
“We said nothing,” Mr. Trump told a German reporter who asked about the matter at a joint White House news conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel. “All we did was quote a certain very talented legal mind who was the one responsible for saying that on television. I didn’t make an opinion on it.” He added: “You shouldn’t be talking to me. You should be talking to Fox.”

Oh gosh you clearly didn't have an education in economy. ..if you think the German economy is doing bad in comparison world wide you need to check your brain. Of course developing countries grow faster, but they all eventually slow down. My point is about the size of the German economy given its population (gdp per capita) ..it's nearly 4 trillion for 80mn people. .it's a tiny country. ..only outranked by Japan China and the US - each country being many times the size of Germany (except for Japan, it's only a bit bigger).. Also debt and savings ratio is quite solid in Germany - again compared to other developed nations. .you can of course compare again country X on planet Y, but on Earth, this planet, Germany is doing quite well, especially considering that it's low crime, great public education (you could use it), great healthcare,clean environment (ie Germany doesn't need to rely on natural resources like Russia) etc etc. ..
