Operations Plan 5015 Is The Secret U.S. Plan To Destroy North Korea

Michael Peck, National Interest: OPLAN 5015: The Secret Plan for Destroying North Korea (and Start World War III?)

North Korea’s unpredictable leader Kim Jong-un has many ways of making war upon his neighbors. He can unleash commandos, or cyberweapons, or threaten to utilize weapons of mass destruction unless the world complies with his wishes.

Whether Kim Jong-un will live to see the results is another matter.

He might be assassinated by U.S. and South Korean special forces, or buried in his bunker by a bunker-buster bomb. Other smart bombs might take out his command posts and nuclear facilities. The authoritarian state of North Korea could become a state without authority, its leadership decapitated by precisely targeted strikes.

Or at least that seems to be America’s plan for fighting the next Korean War. And with North Korea conducting a new wave of ballistic missile tests, and U.S and South Korean forces practicing how to destroy North Korean nuclear sites, that plan is becoming more relevant.

Thats a very basic description, If i recall US special forces would land on the east as a fant while simultaneously using Osprey approaching from the west. The goal is to capture nuclear facilities and staging areas while abusing the Koreans apparent lack of mobility and C&C. What was true then as is today is another Korean war would not be an isolated war, nor would the North be the aggressors. The thinking here is as North Korea only has 6 guns per 1000 people, they would be able to freely "kite" an enemy force with little to no resistance from local populous.

The initial artillery exchange would obliterate both North and South Korea.

Then "the largest artillery force in the world" would pound the South Korean capital Seoul with shells at a rate of 500,000 per hour — leaving its people only 45 seconds to take cover.

This is why the South would attack first.

Leave it alone why now it's too late

Missile launch closer to Japan or another attack with VX and NK will no longer exist. We have a real president now.

Most of their artillery cannot reach Seoul, it is the dmz and forward sraging posts that will get it most, blowing up mines in dmz so kim can advance would have to be a proority?
