The New York Times Explains Why There Is 'Confusion' About Its President Trump Wiretapping Story (Sort Of)

Zero Hedge: The NY Times Explains Why There Is So Much "Confusion" About Its "Trump Wiretapping" Story

In the aftermath of the Trump accusation that Obama wiretapped his phone during the election, an allegation which the flagbearers of the "truthful" (according to their various advertising campaigns) anti-Trump media wave, namely the Washington Post and the New York Times have vehemently denied, an unexpected victim has emerged over the past few days: the New York Times itself.

NSA might have picked up calls etc from those in contact with Russians. That is not the same as claiming Obama order phone taps. Let Trump produce evidence for his claim. Clearly there is an issue here between picking up transmits and getting order from white house to tap phones. You distrust the NY Times ok but then whom do you trust? Zero hedge?

Fred. I trust the New York Times when it comes to international news. But when it comes to all things Trump .... their coverage of his election campaign, saying that Hillary Clinton had a 99% probability of winning the U.S. Presidency at 20:00 EST on election night, and their coverage since then .... to put it bluntly, their credibility is not there. I trust Zero Hedge for their economic analysis, and when it comes to politics I know that they are pro-Trump. But the New York Times has given them a lot of ammo to discredit them .... and they (and everyone else in conservative media) are taking advantage of it. As for their (the New York Times) explanation on why they are contradicting themselves on the Trump wire story .... instead of focusing on who did the wiretaps on the Trump campaign and why they posted the stories that they did in January/February .... as I said in my comment it is becoming embarrassing. And not surprising .... this entire media narrative on Trump and Russia has disappeared from the front pages. As for the White House involved in the wire tapping of the Trump campaign one thing I have learned about President Trump is that he plays the long game (that is why he is in the White House) .... this wire tapping story is just starting, and there is no benefit for the democrats to pursue it.

According to a former intel weenie and now pundit, the NSA is supposed to drop international call if there is a citizen at one end of it.
