Business Insider/Reuters: U.S. Navy Commanders Say Iranian Navy Endangering Freedom of Navigation in Gulf

ABOARD THE USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH, March 22 (Reuters) – U.S. Navy commanders accused Iran of jeopardizing international navigation by “harassing” warships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and said future incidents could result in miscalculation and lead to an armed clash.

They spoke after the U.S. aircraft carrier George H.W. Bush confronted what one of the commanding officers described as two sets of Iranian Navy fast-attack boats that had approached a U.S.-led, five-vessel flotilla as it entered the Strait on Tuesday on a journey from the Indian Ocean into the Gulf.

It was the first time a U.S. carrier entered the narrow waterway, where up to 30 percent of global oil exports pass annually, since President Donald Trump took office in January pledging a tougher U.S. stance towards Iran.

Hair Furour couldn't even get Trumpcare passed.

The only smart thing they did, was realizing that any Republican that voted against Trumpcare, would lose their primary, and any Republican that voted for Trumpcare, would lose their General, was pull the Bill so there would be no vote.

The Republican's had 7 years to work out their proposal, and couldn't get enough Republican votes to pass it.

It would be a mistake to repeal Obamacare.

The final implosions will take place in time for the mid terms.

Many Obamacare exchanges have gone tits up. More are to follow.

As such the American healthcare system will only have DemoKKKrat fingerprints on it.

Obama and the Dims goosed Obama care as much as they could so that there would be no fallout until they locked in Obama's successor, Hillary. the plan was to pander, demonize and tax more to keep it going or to bring single payer.

So Obamacare will implode and we will see at the mid terms. My Healthcare has been getting worse for 6 years. Thank for nothing Libtards

The only downside to Trump abandoning Trumpcare, is that 34,000 (CBO Estimate) to 58,000 ( Whitesupremacy House Estimate) Gullibillie Trump Voters, won't die every year.

The big upside to Trump abandoning Trumpcare, is most of his Tax Cuts for the 1% are now off the table, as is much of his Budget proposals.

Jay, you should try coming down and living with Obama care if you think it is so great. For my family of 5, it costs a mere $3000/ month and has a deductible of $11,500 with the only alternative is to do without insurance for my family while subsidizing others through taxes. And I am a middle income wage earner who just clears the income level for a subsidy.

I talked to family and friends about ObamaCare yesterday. The price is steep.

My doctor and many others at the hospital/clinics I go to retired early because of Obamacare. That's not speculation either, that's the reason they gave me when asked.

Working in the pricing department for an insurance company, I can tell you that there is absolutely NOTHING in Obamacare that will decrease the cost of healthcare or insurance premiums/deductibles, NOTHING. Obamacare is a disaster and will only get worse.

Whether intentional or not, this is the best outcome for Trump. The Dems will still own the healthcare system, its rising prices, and eventual implosion....sure, the Repubs will take some flak from conservatives for not immediately repealing and replacing but people know that the Dems will never fix this mess. Wait for things to get worse for a few yeas and people will be screaming for a repeal.

Lived in the US in the '70's with out healthcare insurance. Would have loved to have had access to Obamacare. Self surgury sucks.

When I worked in the US in the late 90's, I had Corporate Platinum Care. It cost the Corporation $28k more a year than the same plan in Canada.

If you wan't decent, affordable Health Care in the US you are going to have to go with a Public Plan and Public Hospitals like 98% of the Industrialized World does.

But that won't happen because you 'Merkin's think that's Communism, and the Corporate Profits in that are thin.

This year's Obamacare's as good as it's going to get, the Repub's are going to start "poison pilling" it to death and cutting transfer payments and the tax credits.

Your only other option, is to make yourself so valuable to the Corporation, that they are willing to pay the Big Bucks to keep you healthy and hardworking. Realistically, in the US, if you arn't valuable enough to the Corporation that you don't have a Company supplie Platinum Plan, with full Wellness and Dental, you are just a looser.

"When I worked in the US in the late 90's, I had Corporate Platinum Care. It cost the Corporation $28k more a year than the same plan in Canada."

Yes Jay, you're right in that corporations pay more. Do you know why that is? It's because Medicaid/Medicare don't pay the full costs of healthcare. The government has basically said that hospitals must accept these patients but at the same time, the government is limiting how much Medicaid/Medicare will pay. For example, my father recently had a major surgery; he has Medicare. In reviewing the hospital bills, Medicare only paid approximately 20% of the cost of the surgery and more or less stiffed the hospital on the rest. That remaining 80% has to be paid somehow...the hospital can't just eat that cost...if they did they'd eventually go bankrupt. The other 80% is instead passed on to private insurance; this is one of the factors that are driving up the costs of private insurance.

"If you wan't decent, affordable Health Care in the US you are going to have to go with a Public Plan and Public Hospitals like 98% of the Industrialized World does."

When has a socialized system ever worked over the long run? Please, point this out to me because I'm not aware of one. Sure, it might look ok for a few decades but eventually what's going to happen can be seen in Venezuela today. Governments are full of bureaucrats and lawyers that know absolutely nothing about healthcare or insurance; all they know is how to pander for votes. "Free" healthcare, sure bureaucrats can give you that..."free" school, sure they can give you that too but the system will come crashing down in no time (see Greece). The public option just isn't sustainable. Furthermore, we have to many entitlements as it is. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and others are doing a good enough job at dragging us down.

"But that won't happen because you 'Merkin's think that's Communism, and the Corporate Profits in that are thin."

If you weren't such a condescending cunt you might be more successful in bringing others to your side. Instead you bash "Merica" and try to portray people who disagree with you as a bunch of racist, redneck, homophobe, nazi, xenophobe, misogynist, jew-hating, muslim-hating, assholes or Deplorables, as Hillary put it. But please, keep doing this, it's only going to continue to drive people away from the left. PLEASE keep doing this, I'm begging you.

"This year's Obamacare's as good as it's going to get, the Repub's are going to start "poison pilling" it to death and cutting transfer payments and the tax credits."

Agreed that ACA is going to stay for the foreseeable future but Repubs don't need to "poison pill" anything. Like I said above, there's nothing in the ACA that will lower costs, only increase them. Insurance companies are bleeding money right now, due to Obamacare and many are no longer offering plans through the ACA exchanges while some are deciding to completely stop offering health insurance; this is leading to a lack of competition which is going to increased prices. ACA requires people buy more coverage than they need, ACA fines for not having health insurance increase over time, ACA taxes medical equipment (if you're trying to lower health costs, why tax medical equipment more!). Healthcare costs will increase drastically over the coming years and people will be screaming for something to be done.

You're right that Obamacare doesn't help people not covered by employer health plans. That's just another reason that ACA needs to be repealed and replaced. Prior to ACA, there were lower cost options for them such as HDHP's or 'targeted' health plans. The ACA doesn't allow these though and actually mandates that people buy certain coverages such as for drug rehab and maternity care (yes, even if you're a 55 year old woman, ACA says you NEED to purchase maternity care). More coverage = paying more $$$, simple as that.

Almost every other Industrialized Nation on the planet can do affordable

You allegedly work for a Health Care insurer, and know about as much as Paul Ryan about the basic's of insurance.

My property insurance comes with flood coverage, even though it will never flood. Houses down on the floodplain, are covered by fire insurance, even though they will probably never burn.

If my property burns, or their property floods, by pooling our money in "insurance", we "socialize" the costs.

Key word Jay, "so far". Each of those countries has massive amounts of debt and taxes. The US has more than enough of both as well. Eventually, all of this debt and taxing will catch up with them.

"The shoe fit's."

Thank you, I'll take that as a compliment.

"Insurance companies are bleeding money right now because 244 Republican's and 1 Democrat, voted to stop billions of dollars in ACA Compensation payments to the Insurance Companies,"

LOL, even leftists don't want their tax money bailing out insurance companies. Hell, I remember them screaming when the banks were bailed out during the financial crisis. The fact that Obamacare will cause the insurance companies to go broke if they don't regularly get handouts from the government is proof that Obamacare doesn't work so thank you for again proving my point.

"You allegedly work for a Health Care insurer, and know about as much as Paul Ryan about the basic's of insurance."

It's easy to pull an out of context clip of what somebody is saying and make them look stupid...how about you watch his full presentation and actually listen to his solutions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxJfSsOsNcQ

You clearly know absolutely nothing about insurance pricing. What are your credentials? Read a few articles on Daily Kos and Huffington Post?

"My property insurance comes with flood coverage, even though it will never flood. Houses down on the floodplain, are covered by fire insurance, even though they will probably never burn.
If my property burns, or their property floods, by pooling our money in "insurance", we "socialize" the costs."

And no, your property insurance will not come with flood insurance...at least not in the US. Flood insurance is a federal program (which I disagree with it being federal). But, you're in Canada so I guess I'll assume you're right here. LOL, houses that will never burn because they're on a flood plain...perfect logic, LMFAO. I'm glad you're not an actuary or underwriter.

Ya...I realize that risks are pooled together but you've completely missed the point. Sure, some risks are more likely to have certain types of losses than others. But, when the majority of risks have no possible way of having a certain loss (ie getting pregnant) it isn't justifiable to force those people to pay for that loss/coverage; that will only unnecessarily increase their expenses. Sure, as you stated, most property policies will cover fire damage...this is because any home can catch fire (even if its in a flood plain).

I wont comment on Americas system as not being American l dont understand it and have no inherrant right to criticise it.
In australia we have medicare, .05% of everyones annual incime goes toeards it in tax, in return drs visits are free, most medications cost a few $, dental check ups, cavities and ckeans are free for school kids.
Hospital visits are 100% free and you also get 5 visits per calender year to a specialist of your choice for physio, chiro, etc free.
Yeah it works great and yep l take it for granted, maybe l shouldnt.

Fazman,

.05% sounds good.

I was looking at one persons bill for insurance and it is more like 1/8th. It is a good thing they live at home so they can afford it. There is only 1 company in the exchange in their area. After that there is the feds and they will be more expensive.

Just like communism can work*, that .05% can work, but there are parameters. Massive immigration into a polyglot culture, where many people will never fit in and where there is a high, level of unemployment or loafing and that system will break down quickly.

Some stupid Jackass Des Moines Reporters lovingly ran a story about a woman whose 'husband' was deported.

- He is father of maybe 2 of her 4 kids.

- She claims to be an American and born inn America.

- After she was born her parent took her back to Mexico and she was raised there. This is a key point. The woman does not speak English and the conversation had to go through an interpreter. She has lived in the U.S. by her own account and does not speak English!. With that poverty, those job skills and that lack of integration many things will not be possible including 'national healthcare'.

Fazman, you get 11 million Afghan, Indonesians and other illegally migrating to Australia and your Australia will be hurting and its healthcare too. Your cities are also warmer and that helps. Although if you get to many Muslims, the streets will not be walkable and health will deteriorate.

*Social scientists say that communism can work with 150 people or less after study of the Hutterite community. Family friends who live in the same area as the hutterites would claim otherwise.
