Epoch Times: Obama Administration Officials Could Face Criminal Charges: Bob Woodward
Longtime Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward said officials who served under the Obama administration could be facing criminal charges for illegally revealing the names of people working on President Donald Trump’s transition team.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes said on Wednesday that he received new information unrelated to alleged Russian interference, suggesting team members or even Trump himself may have had their identities “unmasked” after communications were intercepted by U.S. intelligence agencies during surveillance of foreign individuals.
Woodward, in an interview with Fox News, said if the allegation is true, “it is a gross violation.”

WNU Editor: We are a long way from what Bob Woodward is talking about .... and I doubt that it will eventually come to that (i.e. Obama officials facing criminal charges). But as I have said more than once in this blog on this story .... the 800lb gorilla in the room has always been the same .... who gave the press all of these leaks after the U.S. election .... leaks that are illegal, and leaks that could have only come from "intercepted" communications and surveillance. Find that answer with solid proof .... and you may have a story that will rival Watergate.

The only felonies committed so far in this mess have been the numerous crimes of the remnants of the Obama admin. Both those still burrowed inside US government and those there months/years ago.
I predict that when this is all said and done, this surveillance scandal - the decision to monitor, capture and then illegally disseminate the conversations of Trump, other Heads of State and his surrogates - will reach all the way up to Barack Obama, Valery Jarret and Loretta Lynch. Maybe Comey as well.

With many people talking about Watergate and what is happening now, I decided to throw in Bob Woodward and Pat Buchanan because both of them lived through the Watergate experience .... albeit from different sides. That is why their insights and analysis are interesting on what is happening today. They see similarities, and none of it is flattering on the past Obama administration.
Jay. I always love reporting leaks on this blog, and I mentioned two months ago that what I loved about the current situation was the flood of leaks that was coming in. The intel leaks are now trickle, and what is now coming out is more on what is happening in the White House .... but that is also becoming less and less. All new administrations have discipline problems when they first come in office .... Trump a bit more than others .... but in the end they always figure out how to stop it. I expect the same with this administration.

Fred. Robby Mook was Hillary Clinton's campaign manager .... he has to blame someone for why they lost an election that everyone was predicting that they would win. I am also aware of his claims that the Trump team was being wiretapped .... I even posted it in this blog .... but Robby Mook provides no evidence or the name of the person who told him this .... and when pressed he says he does not want to disclose his source (at least that is what he said 2 or 3 months ago).
For the investigation on Trump to move forward ... all of these people "in the dark" will have to come forward .... give their names and positions in government .... and to provide testimony and be open to questioning. They will also need to provide transcripts, copied audio, etc.. After 7 months of all of this talk .... people will now need to pony up. This is what happened in the Watergate investigation .... and this is what will need to happen now. But .... not surprisingly .... this is not happening because they really is nothing there. If anything .... and this was the whole point on why I posted Pat Buchanan and Bob Woodward .... the real wrong doing appears to be from the Obama administration, and they are now desperately to not have that exposed (i.e. that they permitted/authorised surveillance of the Trump team).

Fred, I'd take anything that comes from a political operative (whether Robby Mook on the Russia ties or Devin Nunes on the spying on Trump) with a huge helping of salt. Don't put much trust in anything they say until it's backed up by specific sources from the intelligence communities, not just anonymous sources.
