President Trump Touts FOX News Report As Proof That He Was Spied Upon By The Obama Administration

FOX News: Intelligence official who 'unmasked' Trump associates is 'very high up,' source says

The U.S. intelligence official who “unmasked,” or exposed, the names of multiple private citizens affiliated with the Trump team is someone “very well known, very high up, very senior in the intelligence world,” a source told Fox News on Friday.

Intelligence and House sources with direct knowledge of the disclosure of classified names told Fox News that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now knows who is responsible -- and that person is not in the FBI.

For a private citizen to be “unmasked,” or named, in an intelligence report is extremely rare. Typically, the American is a suspect in a crime, is in danger or has to be named to explain the context of the report.

WNU Editor: Everyone who reads this blog knows that I hate it when the media quotes anonymous sources. In the past I always treated anonymous sources from the media as a given .... but now .... especially after this election cycle where (IMHO) media bias was obvious for all to see .... one has to be a fool to believe what the media is saying. Case in point .... the above FOX report that President Trump is talking about uses an anonymous source .... and is being criticised and ridiculed by many in the main stream media for doing so .... Trump hawks vague TV news report as gospel in ongoing Russia-connections scandal (New York Daily News). Fair enough .... but when the New York Times and Washington Post uses anonymous sources .... and that is all that they have been using and pushing in this Russia-Gate story .... it is treated as sacrosanct and a given. Is there a double standard at play .... you betcha. In the end .... anonymous sources will need to step forward and go public for the record. Will that day happen .... I do not know .... but with each passing day my doubts are growing.

Update: Someone has asked me if the above FOX news report is true .... who would be that official who unmasked members of Trump's team and who OK'd the surveillance that has been leaked to the press. IMHO .... it has to be someone in President Obama's White House's national security team .... specifically in the office of the Director of National Intelligence.

You could ask Bill O'Reilly when he finishes telling the public how he is an innocent but had to buy off 5 women who made sex charges against him. He is a reliable source. The use of anonymous sources is not unusual in the world of politics and journalism...and even in the comments here
