McClatchy News: Democrats talk of an 'impeachment clock' for Trump
WASHINGTON - Democratic leaders aren’t calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
But they’re getting closer.
To one Democratic congressman, the president’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey reminded him of the “doomsday clock,” a symbol that warns about the likelihood of nuclear war.
“We should maybe have an impeachment clock,” Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Wis., said on Wednesday. “And if we did, I think yesterday moved us about an hour closer to having that need.”
Pocan said he had thought Democrats in the House of Representatives needed to use the threat of impeachment as a “tool” to make the administration follow the law.
“I would argue this has got to still be on the table as an option, especially if, indeed, there was obstruction of justice by the firing of the FBI director,” said Pocan, first vice chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

WNU Editor: It is not only Democrats who dream of impeaching President Trump .... there are also many establishment Republicans and conservative Republicans who want him gone. But if President Trump's opponents want to impeach him .... my advice to them is that they better have a iron clad case to do so. It has been 6 months since the election .... and they still have nothing but opinions, anonymous sources, and their emotional hatred of President Trump to justify why he should be impeached .... and in my book that is not enough to impeach this President .... not even close.

Maxine Waters is the new Democrat superstar. The best thing that could happen to the GOP come 2018 would be for the Dems to push her front and center, loud and proud.

I really do hope the democrats keep trying this impeachment/Russia-gate garbage. It'll almost guarantee the republicans another major win in 2018. Not that I'm a republican, it's just that the democratic party is cancer.
Impeachment requires a fixed number of Reps and Senator's.
Smart Legislators keep track of the yea's/nay's through out the crafting of legislation process, and don't even table the bill for review, until they "hold" the required votes.

It's too early to start an "Impeachment Clock", Jan, 2018's probably the earliest to start the clock, but between the Specials and the Footshooting, it's not too early to start the process.

Personally I see Rep Waters as an older person that has deteriorating mental faculties, It's kind of sad, there was a time she made sense. There are others as well that seem to be losing it as well, McCain is well past his best before date as is Pelosi, watching some of these older Rep's and Senators and remembering how they were it's obvious their best days are behind them.
