North Korea Celebrates Their Last Missile Launch With A Massive Parade

North Koreans lined the streets to greet the workers, who travelled in buses for the procession

Thousands of men lined the streets of Pyongyang to give scientists and workers behind North Korea's latest missile test a hero's welcome.

Pictures from the despotic state showed hundreds of developers wearing military garb and saluting giant statues of late leaders Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il that dominate the centre of the capital.

Others showed residents waving red flags and artificial flowers as they turned out to greet a convoy of buses carrying the workers.

These displays are 100% for internal consumption. As I believe are all the bluster, fire drills and missile launches. As dysfunctional as Kim Jong-un is, he has to realize that any attack on the US or RoK will result at minimum in a drastic change of lifestyle for him. And we all know that he does enjoy his amenities.

He also realizes that if he doesn't appear to his population and his generals to be the fearless Deity - capable of bathing the West in Fire - he may well be removed from his perch. With despots like Kim Jong-un, you're either at the top of the fear hierarchy... or your dead.

Gosh I miss parading in uniform...so much fun!
