North Korea Is Building Artificial Islands In The Yellow Sea

North Korea may be attempting to copy China by creating artificial islands to use as military bases, it has been claimed

* Tree-covered rocks in Yellow Sea have been developed with roads, warehouses
* State media has previously claimed the work is part of land reclamation project

North Korea may be attempting to copy China by creating artificial islands to use as military bases, it has been claimed.

Beijing has been building artificial islets in the disputed Spratly Islands in the South China Sea and there are claims they have already been fitted out with anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems.

There are now fears Pyongyang - which this week warned the US it was pushing the region to the brink of nuclear war - is following suit.

WNU Editor: There are no territorial disputes in this part of the region, and North Korea does not need to build an island to house a base. There is something else involved.

Okay maybe not. These island are already there and/or close to shore.
