Pope Francis: 'Mother' Should Not Be Used To Describe A Bomb

The Independent
: Pope criticises US military for using word 'mother' to describe MOAB bomb

He says that anything that takes life away shouldn't be associated with motherhood

Pope Francis has criticised the United States military and the talking heads who discuss the military for calling a bomb a “mother.”

The pontiff’s comments — referencing the Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb (MOAB), the largest bomb in the American arsenal — came during a speech he gave to an audience of students, and just weeks before he is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump.

“I was ashamed when I heard the name,” the pope said. “A mother gives life and this one gives death, and we call this device a mother. What is happening?’

He's not really aware in what world we live in

No kidding. He does not seem to care about Christians and the persecution of them at all. He only loves muslims and refugees.

To be punched by the Pope... Now that would be a story to tell.

Would Pope Francine criticized Sodom Hussein, if he had been Pope then for saying "Mother of All Battles"?

The name of the bomb has a history based on our enemies.

he's very protective for Muslims, I wonder if Muslims would do the same for him?

He knows the Muslims are the chosen scapegoat/victims of the elites. Of course he's "protective" of them. I really want to tell you how the world Actually works but I fear of my own safety.

They watch me everyday. Every single day.

One of the things I like in China, Vietnam and a few other places is that they are very suspect towards outside religions (Vietnam) and suspect of any religion (China) - all for their own reasons. For example, China currently wants to avoid any organised society or group that could grow and talk against what the one party wants; in Vietnam, which is a very homogenous country in terms of races - albeit from the western workers and tourists that stick out but are concentrated to a few places - you just stick out like a foreign flag pole of you were to wear a Muslim outfit. ..and Vietnamese do look at you. So both are very much cultures where -you- have to fit in and not the other way around. And I appreciate that. .you have to earn their respect and accept their ways, not the other way around. Of course, both - Vietnam and China in this example -also accept your culture and norms, eg among friends and at work, but there's a limit when it comes to changing their ways. This is not racism. I don't feel mistreated. It's just normal. And in Europe we've honestly lost our ways. We have to deal from a position of strength when we welcome immigrants and other religions. Behave and live according to our norms (within reason) or leave. If you are a refugee we have to make clear that you -must- learn our language within a reasonable time frame (considering that people suffer from trauma etc etc)..but ultimately in Europe we cannot change more or it will end badly. And the pope who lives in his own bubble and believes there's a life after (not everyone does, buddy), should smarten up regarding matters and life on earth - it matters to a lot of us.

The Chams, or Cham people are an ethnic group of Austronesian origin in Southeast Asia.

The Cham people owned South Vietnam until 4 centuries ago. The Vietnamese took it form them,.

Vietnamese are not Austronesian. They originated in Southern China.

The people might all look alike to you, but they are not all alike.

Vietnam has Buddhism, Islam, Christianity (or had until the Democrats/liberals got their way), Buddhism, the religions of the hill people, and who knows what else.

The Chinese actually brought Buddhism to China from India.

The current Pope Francine lives in a liberal bubble. That is his basic problem not religion.

You cannot be tolerant of all religions.

They say there is an exception to every rule. Islam is that exception. You cannot be tolerant of it.
