Disturbing Graduation Ceremony For Iraqi Army Trainees (Video)

Joseph Trevithick, The Drive: This Disturbing Iraqi Special Forces Demo Is Like A Cheer Tryout From Hell

Iraq's elite troops show off martial arts skills, jump through a flaming hoop, and rip rabbits apart with their bare hands.

It’s not uncommon for military forces around the world to put both new recruits and existing troops through often strenuous and sometimes bizarre rituals to build camaraderie and esprit de corps. A recently released video of what may be a graduation ceremony for Iraqi Army trainees takes this to a whole new level with the troops following up a martial arts display by killing live animals.

On June 8, 2017, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense posted an official video of the event, which involved special forces recruits and took place on the 14th of July Bridge in the country’s capital, Baghdad, according to a crude machine translation of the title. There was no additional information. The span, named in honor of the day a military coup deposed the Iraqi monarchy in 1958, crosses the Tigris river and is a major route in and out of the city.

How many times do they cut the carotid of cows, sheep and goats in order to slaughter them for consumption (In a halal way)?

A rabbit is in a similar vein (no pun intended).

Is the Wet too swivilized?

When was the last time anyone had a blood sausage? It starts when you put the pan under the cow whose neck has just been cut during the slaughtering process. Nothing goes to waste.

This just goes to show how unprofessional and amatuer they truly are. Pathetic really, reminds of the video of egyptian spec ops eating live chickens, great if you get attacked by a kfc franchisee

These troops are shit by any western yardstick and a barbaric circus show does not a soldier make.

Royal Marine Commandos, for your information, eat the heads off live chickens during their training, in addition to killing rabbits, not to mention eating their eyes which contain nutrition.

All part of their survival training.

You might be surprised to learn what the US Special Forces go through on their survival training.

I dont know where you got that info from but they do not eat the heads of live chickens, my ol maye who was a commando at fort gellibrand in williamstown just replied wtf nope just no.
Killing a rabbit is one thing ( of course they do) but ripping it apart like a rabbid greyhound with their teeth in a frenzy ,again nope.
These guys are not soldiers in the western sense of the word that you and l know.

Well I don't know about your 'mate', perhaps his unit didn't do it...

But one of my best mates is in 40 Commando, and he verified it a long time ago.

If you are still in doubt, here's some western forces doing exactly that...

On a more serious note, there was a programme I came across on ITV3 about 3 weeks ago which seemed very similar to this. Clearly it was an old repeat from maybe 5 years or so ago, but it involved Marine's training on Dartmoor. Unfortunately I came across it at a very bad moment. These marine's were being shown how to kill for food. They began with chickens by twisting their necks. However what really distressed me greatly was they went further than chickens and on to rabbits. Very nice rabbits too. There was a cage of the most delightful and beautiful white rabbits with pristine white coats. There must have been about 15 of them, the kind that any child would have delighted in cuddling or having as a pet. The marine's were each given a bunny, and some even cuddled them like pets before being shown how to kill one by a commanding officer. Then they each had to hold their own lovely white rabbit upside down by its legs and with a sudden and brutal karate hand chop come down on the back of its neck, hopefully killing it instantly in the process."

A country where women are stoned to death for hearsay, and gays are thrown off buildings. And you're surprised they tear rabbits apart.
