Gunman Targets Republicans At A GOP Congressional Baseball Practice. Presence Of Security Detail Prevented A Massacre Of Lawmakers. 5 Wounded. Suspect In Custody

CNN: Republican House Whip Steve Scalise, congressional staffer shot in Virginia shooting

Washington (CNN)Rep. Steve Scalise was shot Wednesday morning in Alexandria, Virginia, a House colleague told CNN, in what sources are calling an apparent "deliberate attack." A congressional staffer was also shot.

Scalise, a member of the House Republican leadership as the majority whip, appeared to have been shot in the hip and it appeared two Capitol Hill police agents were shot, according to Rep. Mo Brooks, who told CNN he was on deck when the shooting occurred.

The shooting took place at a practice for the GOP congressional baseball team.

In a statement, Texas Rep. Roger Williams, one of the team's coaches, said one of his staff members was shot during the incident and is receiving medical attention. There was no information on the staffer's injuries.

No fred - your addled base is repeatedly ginned up by lies and violent masterbatory fantasies of killing Trump and Republicans et al. Repeated promises to oust Trump followed by repeated crushing disappointments. Nothingburger after nothingburger. It has to have an outlet

Any mass shooting from Sandy Hook to Batman Theater to Gabby Giffords - the right wing was braidbrushed with them all.

So spare me your fucking self righteous hyoocracy

Wackos are not exclusive to the left or right, but one thing that needs to change is the recent "resist" rhetoric with the violent overtones designed to trigger unstable individuals in the same way that ISIS propaganda is designed to trigger unstable potential lone wolf terrorists. It is reckless, dangerous, anti-democratic and intentional, and either side needs to be shamed publicly and at the ballot box when they resort to these tactics.

Turns out the shooter was a Bernie Samders volunteer.

What a shock.

If we look at the perpetrators of mass shootings over the last 30 years, the inherent propensity in every case of these individuals having achieved suffrage is definitively oriented toward democratic voters. The statistical significance in favor of this irrefutable fact makes is such that arguing against the correlation of political affiliation with those who commit these atrocities is fallacious and stupid. Your an idiot to argue otherwise simply because its idiotic to argue otherwise. I am politically non-alignment and a centrist, so I have no agenda here other that to confront blatant fallacy and ignorance. Take a seat.

Russ: what was the shoote doin g out of his home state with an assault weapon, the sort of thing that the gop whip favored? Why do you call me names? Fact--more assaults based on political views from alt right than from liberals. In passing, Bernie supported NRA positions and this guy liked Bernie. But the guy a nut. And you are not nice to toss out stupid labels.Matthew: you assert now prove...now tell us about gun laws and who wants more and better restrictions? and Matt, give us evidence not genral statements that are not believable.

Gabby Giffords gets shot by somebody who 'likes' a tea party group on facebook.

Media says: "The shooter is a right-wing extremist who attacked a Democrat. The shooting was because of evil Republicans. The racist Republicans must change their extreme rhetoric immediately."

Today's attack on Republican congressmen is carried out by a leftist Bernie supporter.

Media says: "Deranged white man shoots congressmen. Why did this happen? The shooter must have psychological problems and have been off his meds."

The media is the enemy of the people.

My apologies, citations should always be provided for any significant claim made. Thankfully this information is thoroughly compiled and easy to access by anyone with access to the internet and the ability to navigate it. *Ass. All mass shootings by those who have achieved suffrage are of democrat party affiliation [1] (fbi.gov ; bjs.gov). With regards to gun laws and better restrictions, lets start with just enforcing the laws as they have already been legislated and get the democrat majority states to comply with the laws. Surely you are not implying that the democrats are the only ones doing anything by trying to ban everything but Joe Biden's double barrel shotguns.

Unfortunately, such rhetoric has come to be seen as a birthright of the Left--and now even "mainstream" Democrats. Truly regrettable, and mindless. Even trump does NOT advocate violence, as the Left does. Very immature, and they do it in the guise of "speaking truth to power!"
They style themselves as the prophets of olden times--and are just as overbearing, emotional, and/or incoherent. Some of the old prophets made good sense. None among the left do now. They are like the prophets in the Life of Brian.
And I'm a person who believes the u.s. Left has many legitimate positions--though some of these abandoned not so long ago.
Not really Liberal any more.

It's just another mass shooting in the good ol USA,

On average, there are 2-3 a week, last week, there was a Nazi one, and a Disgruntled Worker one,

Just another week in the USA.

It's just another mass casualty in the good ole USA brought to you by the Left.

All Hodgkins had to do was take the train to Chicago and Bill Ayers could have told him how to make bombs.

There fixedya

LMFAO

Do you still have your Dylan Roof shrine up?

Matthew Putnam said...

Sure Jay. Praise be unto him and the 3 other abhorrent degenerates that can counter my earlier claim at a petty 1-27 ratio. I am surprised that with all your "LMFAO" comments, that your "ass" has not actually been "laughed off". Nice wikipedia citations all the time as well. If you were properly educated you would recognize a reputable citation if it slapped you in the face; unlike your party platform. Sweet dreams buddy.

NBC is busily pushing out the 'assault rifle" meme for Alexandria, "assault pistol" for San Fran.

fred said...

If a Wikipedia article is not reputable, then the person accusing it should indicate why it is incorrect. Merely dismissing the name of Wiki is hardly decent scholarship

LMFAO,

It's the 154th mass shooting event so far in the US in 2017,

In other words, a Wednesday.

Mass shooting 155 happened a few hours later at UPS in San Francisco.

RussInSoCal said...

Not a mass shooting. This was an attempted political assassnation.

There's a big difference both legally and practically.

Hodgkins was a Democrat. He lived in a Democrat County. No surprise that when he pistol whipped his daughters fiancé, he did not lose his concealed carry.

If Democrat Party leaders were not paying property tax that would not be a surprise either.

All Hodgkins did was go Kathy Griffith on some Republicans. It is the way many Democrats are raised.
