Russia Threatens To Seize US Properties If Seized Diplomatic Compounds In The U.S. Are Not Returned


CBS: Russia threatens US government properties in new tweet

Russian officials confirm to CBS News' Margaret Brennan that they will be asking President Trump at an upcoming meeting in Moscow to return properties seized by the Obama administration in the wake of the hacking of the Democratic National Committee. And Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning tweet on Thursday saying "If the US doesn't restore diplomatic immunity of Russian property, Russia will reply in kind regarding regarding US property in Russia."

The U.S. responds .... US will not respond to Russian 'threats,' but says talks ongoing (ABC News). What's my take .... politically the atmosphere in Washington is so poisonous on anything that deals with Russia that I will be surprised if the State Department moves to return these properties back to Russia. My expectation is that Russia will retaliate after the G20 conference if this is not resolved.
