What Intel Did President Trump Exactly Leaked When He Met The Russians In May

Now, the New York Times has more details about what President Trump (center) told Russians Sergei Lavrov (left) and Sergei Kislyak (right) in the Oval Office in May

Daily Mail: Inside what Trump leaked to the Russians: He told them details of how Israeli cyberspies got inside ISIS bombmaking cell and discovered their plans for laptop battery bombs

* The New York Times is out with a report shedding more light on what details President Trump told the Russians
* Israel's cyberoperators penetrated a cell of ISIS bombmakers in Syria and found out their plans to make bombs that look like laptop batteries
* Intelligence officials found out how the bombs would be detonated leading to a laptop ban from some counties coming into the US and UK

When President Trump met with Russians Sergei Lavrov and Sergie Kislyak in the Oval Office on May 10, he told the duo, 'I get great intel. I have people brief me on great intel every day,' according to the Washington Post's account.

Now, the New York Times is out with a report shedding light on some of that intelligence, which came courtesy of the Israelis.

Israel's cyberoperators penetrated a cell of ISIS' bombmakers in Syria and told the U.S. about the group's plans to make explosives that look like batteries for laptop computers, which would trick airport X-ray machines.

WNU Editor: The Russians are saying that Trump told them nothing, and this has been corroborated by National Security adviser McMaster who was present in the meeting. The New York Times is saying the opposite .... using an anonymous source to say that Trump did give valuable intel. The New York Times report is here. I do not who is telling the truth, but as someone who use to work for ICAO (the UN's civil aviation arm) there is a bigger story here, and that is if the New York Times report is true, and if the Israelis and the Americans are withholding this type of intel .... it will violate numerous agreements and understandings when it comes to terror threats on civil aviation. The fear of using laptops as portable bombs is nothing new .... I have been hearing about it for years. But if a terror group has been successful in manufacturing such a device .... then this intel should not (and must not) be withheld regardless on what intel sources may get burned.

Now that the Great Orange Bloat has killed satire,

The Onion has decided to follow the path of Wikileaks, the Washington Post, the Intercept, and other sites that have built their following on leaked and hacked documents,

A White House Insider leaked to the Onion, over 400 documents from the inside, and the Onion is putting them up on the web, in a special archive.

LMFAO,

Who you gonna belive?

Russia, McMasters?

Or Hair Furour?

"In tweets Tuesday morning, President Trump said he had shared "facts pertaining to terrorism and airline flight safety" with Russian diplomats in an Oval Office meeting last week, confirming a key part of a news report his aides had denied the night before.

Trump said he had shared the information in the hopes of getting Russia to "greatly step up their fights against ISIS and terrorism," referring to the Islamic State"

Gotta love how Team Trump have to go all Red Queen half a dozen times a day, "believing, ( or claiming to believe*) half a dozen impossible and contradictory things before breakfast."

If THIS IS RIGHT then the intel was shared among allies and thus the notion of banning laptops on flights from certain countries.

ICAO has not publicly commented on this matter when the news first broke out almost 2 months ago. What does that tell me .... they already knew about it .... or at least those who are suppose to be in the know already knew about it. In short .... if this intelligence is correct and the leak from the New York Times is accurate, the U.S. were not the only ones that Israel shared this intel with .... and my gut is telling me that ICAO was in the loop. As to who are the members of ICAO .... every major government in the world.

ICAO wouldn't be provided with "sources" and "methods" of sufficient detail that the Israeli Op was exposed and compromised.

They would simply be briefed that Islamic Terror Groups in the Middle East were working on Laptop bombs, and that laptops should not be allowed in the passenger compartment on flights from a specific list of countries.

The allegation of Trump's boasting, is that he told the Russians:
- the name of the Syrian City that the specialized bomb technology cell was in,
- the group, ( ISIS)
- details of the experimental bombs, ( batteries)
- details of the bomb trigger, ( keyboard command sequences)

Information that would allow Russia, Syria or Iran to potentially identify and compromise the Intelligence asset,

Information that would allow ISIS to potentially identify the Intelligence asset, and also take countermeasures to skirt around the preventative measures Airport Security would take.

Then, in Israel, Trump confirmed that the Intelligence asset was Israeli, by denying on twitter, that he ever told the Russians that the asset was Israeli.

LMFAO

Not really Jay
ICAO will want to know the details.
Airport/airline security is .... along with making sure that everyone follows the same standards for aviation/airports/etc. .... ICAO's top mandate.
It's like WHO. They will want to know the where/when/what/etc. on a disease breakout.
For civil aviation terror threats ... the same thing. The who/what/where/etc.. Saying trust us .... be given generalities ... that's not going to fly (no pun intended).
When the Soviets shot down KAL 007 .... it took awhile but all intel had to be provided by everyone .... even very sensitive signal intelligence. And that was 34 years ago.

ICAO won't be given details that go to the exposure of an asset.

That level of detail, is held closely, and is "only used" to "prove the intelligence" to a doubter, who has the power to stop/go on the information.

The fact they had to tell Adolph Twitler that level of detail, to convince him he had "the best of intelligence", is actually quite pathetic.

"One of the stand-out cyber-warfare or spying feats against ISIS was carried out by Israel. And it was that operation that President Trump blabbed to Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Ambassador Kislyak."
