Why Is Turkey Deploying Troops To Qatar?

VOA: Turkey Agrees to Send Up to 3,000 Troops to Qatar Amid Gulf Diplomatic Crisis

WASHINGTON — Turkey's decision to send up to 3,000 troops to Qatar further cements their growing ties, but it virtually eliminates a possible role for Ankara to mediate between Qatar and the Gulf states that have decided to isolate it for alleged support of terrorism.

Both countries have found themselves increasingly isolated Turkey for the increasing authoritarian rule of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatar for its alleged financial support of extremist groups and growing ties with Iran, the main competitor to Saudi Arabia for power and influence in the region. Qatar denies the allegation.

Turkey's deployment is for show .... and it is not going to change the situation on the ground, the politics and diplomacy that are in play right now .... and more importantly to those who live in Qatrar .... lifting the Saudi land blockade of Qatar.

We may be in a war that may escalate.

People who want a piece of Iran:

Turkish Azeris
Kurds (Greater Kurdistan)
Arabs (south & southwest)
Baluchis
Turkmen (Turkministan)

The Iranian Kurds have been beat down, but if there were a chance in the future ...

The Baluchis already attack Iranian forces in the East. How much of a blind eye does Pakistan have to this?

Azerbaijan would like to double in size.

Erdogan would expand east if possible. Iran should not get weak or he'll take a chunk. Afterwords he'll Turkify the Azeris (Turks) into some pan-Turkic identity or something. The mountain Turks (Kurds) he'll turkify or kill.
