Half Of U.S. Senate Democrats Have Called On Senator Franken To Resign

NPR: Al Franken Under Pressure As Half Of Senate Democrats Call For Him To Resign

Several Democratic senators, including the chamber's second- and third-ranking Democrats, called Wednesday for Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., to step down in the midst of allegations that he inappropriately touched several women.

"Senator Franken's behavior was wrong. He has admitted to what he did," Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the Senate Democratic whip, tweeted, adding Franken "should resign from the Senate."

"I'm shocked and appalled by Senator Franken's behavior," Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., the Senate's No. 3 Democrat, tweeted, "It's clear to me that this has been a deeply harmful, persistent problem and a clear pattern over a long period of time. It's time for him to step aside."

"McFadden has a different way of describing Franken’s time in D.C.: Voted with the president 97 percent of the time; most partisan Senate Democrat; most likely to vote with his party"

The lib guv will appoint another lib. So, no, the y will not miss him.

He was just along for the ride. All th=at was required of him was some face time, some rah, rah rah speeches and some rubber stamping.

I agree that Al Franken was very effective. He was a very effective groper.

As a kid, Al would have been a star playing defense in flag football.

Al Franken would have been a good Nazi. HE COMMITTED CRIMES AND THEN DOCUMENTED THEM FOR POSTERITY.

Smith at his girlie best here

Al et al did bad stuff. The president has twelve (12!) law suits for gcropping etc and he had admitted what he has done! so tend your own weed patch before blubbering about others. meantime the entire gop elected moral folks supporting Moore, child molester...and you type your moral dribble? shame on you

I stopped laughing at Al Franken after he ran for senate. It became clear his stupid voice was not a put on, and that was half the joke at least.

Now I'm laughing again.

I made a comparison

(i.e a person or a group of people commits a crime and documents it. bOth Franken and the NAZIs fit that to a T !)
a) The NAZIS were relatively easy to prosecute after WW2 because they kept meticulous records.
b) Al Franken also kept good records.

Without the picture Al Franken would never have admitted anything and nor would the other women have come forward.

The Democrats would have sat on the scandal and then come after the Republicans like an aggrieved party.

Trump has not admitted to 'gcropping'.

BTW what is gcropping.

Is that where some fool gropes picture he is cropping before he pastes them to his web page?

I liked where one of Trump's accusers sent him nice thank you notes a year after he supposedly did something.
