Turkish And Syrian Forces Have Surrounded The Kurdish-Held Afrin Region In Syria

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said he believes that the Kurdish-held city of Afrin in northern Syria will fall into Turkish hands by this evening.

Turkey said that it troops and allied Syrian fighters had encircled Afrin, a city in the enclave of the same name where some 350,000 civilians remain, as of yesterday, following a seven-week military operation.

President Erdogan said civilians in Afrin town were being evacuated in cars through a special corridor, but residents and local officials claim those trying to leave Afrin have come under fire.

Afrin wasn't attacking Turkish forces or civilians. Afrin is a prop to Erodgan's re-election. In truth Erodgan is becoming a war criminal and should be charged as one at the ICC. Trump will come under pressure to cut off arms to Turkey and terminate their participation in the F-35 program. Its as if Erodgan is daring the US to act, same for NATO.
