Zero Hedge: A $2bn Saudi Plan To Assassinate Iran's Leaders Involved Erik Prince And The Trump Transition Team

So maybe the Iranians do have much to be paranoid about. You don't watch enough movies.
It's not about the assassination, it's about the fact that the entire regime will be behind this assassin, waiting with torture equipment. Likely, the person who does it has to be top notch (someone who earns millions a year in this job, never was caught etc) and it may require him/her to retire, pay off a lot of people in the process, use tons of middle man, etc.
It's not unlikely that you get caught for doing this, so the sum must offset the consequences. No one cares if some schmuck gets whacked (unless connected, ofc), and this target has a lot of connections. His facebook profile gets poked like at least 20 times a day and what not ;)

Also, keep in mind it will likely be a team who has to do the job (and then most of the team will die in car crashes, or they will be shot by a guy with a joker mask o_O)
