Sitting alongside French President Macron during the 100th anniversary to commemorate the end of World War I, Putin and Trump stole the show in Paris

The Elysee Palace protocol was implacable. Nobody in Paris would be allowed to steal the spotlight away from the host, President Emmanuel Macron, during the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day marking the end of World War I.

After all, Macron was investing all his political capital as he visited multiple World War I battlefields while warning against the rise of nationalism and a surge in right-wing populism across the West. He was careful to always place the emphasis on praising “patriotism.”

Anon (10:13AM),

GPS is not going to be available during a conflict with even a mid level power much less one against a major power. Presenting this news is a bit like telling someone the sky is blue or the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. As such, we would expect the US military to have long figured out how to work around this. Of course with the incompetent boobs who lead the US military they may not have figured this out!!

As the article points out, given the civilian uses for GPS jamming it could be considered irresponsible. Then again needlessly provoking Russia seems irresponsible as well. As for the participation of Finland and Sweden in this operation, it will be up to the citizens of those countries how they wish to proceed but this does not look like a very wise move on their part. Given their close proximity to Russia, needlessly provoking them does not seem very bright.

As for Jens Stoltenberg, I have pointed out before this man is not an American. He does not care about American interests. Americans are pawns to be used on his chessboard to advance his perceived interests and those of the country of his residence and birth. He should not be trusted. Unfortunately the ideological nature of American foreign policy makes us vulnerable to manipulation by less than scrupulous elements.

Months of bureaucratic wrangling and supposed security delays left babies dying in the desert.

Last Anon must be a leftie who conveniently forgot that it was Obama who started that war, and then on top had the red line blunder, embarrassing himself and by extension the word of the USA in front of Putin and the rest of the world.
