China's Huawei Finance Chief Arrested In Canada. To Be Extradited To The U.S. For Violating U.S. Sanctions On Iran



DW: China's Huawei finance chief arrested in Canada, faces extradition to US

Meng Wanzhou, the daughter of Huawei's founder, faces possible extradition as the tech firm is investigated for suspected violations of US sanctions on Iran. As China protested, Hong Kong and mainland stocks plummeted.

The chief financial officer of China's Huawei Technologies, Meng Wanzhou, was arrested in Vancouver on December 1 and faces extradition to the United States, Canada's Department of Justice said on Wednesday.

Meng's arrest is related to alleged violations of US sanctions, according to Reuters news agency. A bail hearing for her extradition is set for Friday.

The message here is no such thing as princelings to Trump. If this has collateral effects to US businessmen to think extra hard before setting up business in China, so much the better. All part of Trumps war strategy of keeping the Chinese baffled and unable to predict his moves. When was the last time a Chinese leadership had that problem?

Obama? He was a fool with a vast ego. Easy
Bush II? Distracted by terror campaigns. Easy
Clinton? Slutty Women and large amounts of cash distracted him. Super easy.
Bush I? He understood the Chinese as much as they him. A worthy adversary.
