The world stood helpless as Notre Dame burned on Monday and hundreds of French fire fighters worked to put out the blaze.
As they battled the flames, world leaders and celebrities took to social media in shock to share their sadness and disbelief.

Arson.
The French governmentcan choosebetween arson or incompetence.
Smart organizaitons like the military have fire watches, when they do alterations or maintenance.
So French govt workers screwed up, the contract for private workers was screwed up, or arson.
They can pick their poison.
The poison the empty suit is picking is "It was an accident and therefor no one is at fault."
if it was anaccident then the empty suit just has to wring his hand s and empathize. that is muych easier than taking on anti-clerical zealots, terrorists, or poor management.
