More than a million people have signed up to "Storm Area 51" in September as a joke.
The gag Facebook event has attracted real-world enthusiasts who are planning to visit the secretive base at Nevada Test and Training Range, undeterred by even a warning from the US Air Force itself.
But the military might be the least of their concerns.

Not only is he endangering people who follow this stunt, like they could literally die - just to get to Area51, not even in it - which they won't, but they might die in the desert..
But.. he is also endangering the US.. obviously flash mobs have always been a security concern, but Russia/China/NK/Iran will want to try do the same "storm area 51", "storm washington", "storm the white house"

You're right in many ways, BUT you are ignoring his responsibility in knowing that in today's age of connectivity anything you put online can snowball. Like the are literally millions of examples. We all know it happens daily so why ignore his responsibly? Of course most people will not show up ..but some people will go just for seeing what happens and then all bets are off. That's why whenever you call for a flashmob action online you're asking for responsibility! You are the organiser ffs. And more so if you're calling for something illegal - even jokingly. And especially if it clearly is dangerous, likely lethal. You just know some stupid girl or guy might show up to get likes and micro influencer money. People do all kinds of stupid shit today. People getting together to protest is actually part of "due process" in a free society. Inciting, or, simply organizing protests therefore are not of itself is not illegal. Most protest could be called illegal because they often interfere in daily business but they still happen. When government has become overbearing and perhaps criminal, organized protesting often is the only option left to responsible people to voice their concerns in a manner that gets attention, if only from a passing new perspective. This particularly so in a country where voting is manipulated and therefore is not a viable option.
