The Changing Face Of Politics In America

FOX News: Ocasio-Cortez gets new 2020 challenger: a Republican immigrant from Jamaica

EXCLUSIVE -- Scherie Murray, a New York businesswoman who immigrated from Jamaica as a child and is active in state Republican politics, is launching a campaign Wednesday for the congressional seat held by Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Fox News has learned.

In a phone interview, Murray, 38, confirmed her intention to run for the New York congressional seat as a Republican.

“There is a crisis in Queens, and it’s called AOC,” Murray told Fox News. “And instead of focusing on us, she’s focusing on being famous. Mainly rolling back progress and authoring the job-killing Green New Deal and killing the Amazon New York deal.”

Murray, who was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States when she was 9, is officially launching her campaign Wednesday with an introductory video that takes sharp jabs at the 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez.

WNU Editor: A good friend of mine who works in Manhattan but lives across the river in New Jersey gave me a heads-up on Scherie Murray a few weeks ago. He is a moderate Democrat with mixed feelings when it comes to President Trump, but he likes her. Will she win .... no. But she is a symbol on where Republican politics and candidates are heading, and the growing role of immigrants in the electoral process.

Democrats think Jamaican woman,

"Oh look immigrant, woman of color. Automatically ours LOL!"

Democrats are the political equivalent of the Huns. They are kept together as an empire by the division of spoils. There are only so many spoils to go around.

It is why Hispanics and blacks are suing each other in the Washington DC area over schools. It is why Asian Americans are suing over Democrat imposed quotas (spoils) in colleges.

As soon as there are more than 1 or 2 unsuccessful pillaging campaigns, the coalition based on spoils falls apart.

Democrats understand this. That is why they are so frantic and mad at Donald Trump for standing up to them. Their cushy jobs of handing out spoils and keeping bigger chunks for themselves are in jeopardy. They do not want pink slips and to have to actually work.

Can you see AOC working as an economist? Neither could anyone else. As good looking as she is, if the had average intelligence and knowledge of economics, she would have been hired.

Its great to see a Jamaican Republican get any traction in NYC. AOC is likely a one-termer. The Dems run NYC and regardless of the uproar with Trump, AOC and the Squad are a major thorn in the side of the Democrats. Pelosi will crank up the fraud machine - like they did with Bernie in 2016 - and gently kick AOC off the edge of the political universe.

Progressive organization advertised for candidates and put up the money. AOC's brother nominated her. I think there were around 2,000 applicants. The progressives have some money and the progressive groups might have local superiority in some precincts. Nancy might not be able to dislodge her.

Ocasio-Cortez appears in video for progressive group aiming to oust more incumbent Dems

The Squad reminds me of the Russian Revolution in 1917/1918. There were two. First the Czar goes and then everyone non-Bolshevik went. I am very happy the Squad is rocking the boat. Democrats have been using the race card and name calling for 5 decades. They played with fire and now they are getting burned. It reminds me of Ragnarok. There were horsemen fighting against the jobs that rode horse, whose hooves set fire to the land they touched. There was nothing but a wall of flame behind them and beyond that ashes. The flames overtook the horsemen and they perished. This is happening to the Democrats and their continual baiting.

As tired as I am of having her bug-eyed "serious face" thrust in front of me all the time, I'm sure AOC will get a second term. Her politics may be unpopular to the majority but she comes from the same spawning pool that is still keeping the hipster movement on life support.

Smart money i=is that AOC gets re-elected, but it will be more work than she wants.
