Military.com: 4 Super Hornets Damaged in Carrier Landing Gone Wrong

While attempting to land on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea earlier this month, an E-2D Hawkeye propeller aircraft struck two F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft and sent debris flying into two other F/A-18s on the flight deck, according to the Naval Safety Center.

The carrier-capable tactical airborne early warning aircraft was recovering [landing] at 7:40 p.m. Aug. 9 when it "impacted two other aircraft and caused debris impact damage to two additional aircraft," Navy Cmdr. Josh Frey, spokesman for the U.S. 5th Fleet, told Military.com on Tuesday via email.

As this incident demonstrates being in the military is no cakewalk wartime or not.

"Video and excuses."

The above is one of the most ass fucking stupid post by an anti-American shit, who if they are actually a foreign troll from China or Russia would not surprise me at all.

First the salt water air is very corrosive. The engines could not be at peak performance.

"The E-2C aircraft is a Navy carrier based high-wing, twin engine turboprop powered aircraft used for the Airborne Early Warning (AEW) mission. In the power approach configuration, the aircraft displays strong adverse yaw, weak directional stability, and excessive rudder control power. These antagonistic characteristics, when coupled together, result in an extremely high workload for the pilot during both carrier and field landings. Although the aircraft has a yaw axis stability augmentation system, it is currently only applicable to cruise conditions."

Bob literally knows nothing about arresting gear, sea state, or a myriad of other topics. He is a person that has literally accomplished nothing in life.

There is a place that you can go to get more detailed information, but the troll can try to look it up for itself.

It is obvious just from looking at the plane that it is top heavy and therefore really problematic to fly.

As I predicted the excuses are coming out.

Chicom Bob,

You did not predict anything.

You simply take an anti-American stance, bitch about everything American and say virtually everything America does is wrong.

You are the least qualified person posting. You know nothing worthwhile. All the corporate initiatives you have cited in the past are extremely and risibly dated.

You have no benchmark to judge flight mishaps, pilot performance, or plane performance. There are at least 2 pilots who occasionally post and not one of them back up your shit.

Face it, you are a loser.

There was a pilot landing on a carrier when one of his engines cut out. The slop was not good and he bailed. As mentioned the slope was not good and the plane hit the round down and caught the wire without a pilot on board.

Not the pilot's fault although Chicom Bob would say it is.

More excuses, or, a reiteration, no matter. Is the official excuse out yet?

"More excuses, or, a reiteration, no matter (blah) (blah) (blah) ..." - Chicom Bob

Chicom knows about carrier ops because it worked as a janitor in a bank or elevator factory.

Deflection and attack, a Trumpian tactic to be used whenever you are caught out or unable to think of an intelligent response. It is what Trump did when he was told Greenland was not for sale, cancelled the trip as he was embarrassed by the curt turn down and then had the audacity to brag that by doing so he had saved Americans a lot of money. As if he gave two shits about Americans.

Losers double down, it is what they do, it is what you do.

Deflection and attack was your 1ST post.

Excuses? You did not bring up one technical or training issue. You can't. You don't know very much of anything.

I'm thinking that if you have a degree it was an associates degree in Hospitality or finger painting.

I responded with "video and excuses"

You interrupt that as deflection and attack? What a poor little munchkin you are.

Chicom Bob.

You know why the US Navy can have a mishap?

Their planes actually fly and fly often. Other countries in NATO not so much. The few panes they have are hangar queens.

How is it that a country like Sweden (~20% of the size if Canada) can make jet fighters , but Canada can not. Seems to me that Canadians like you are underperforming.

Is you anti-Americanism sour grapes?

"video and excuses" What does Bob have?

Military experience?
Flight Experience?
Safety Experience?
Sailing Experience?
Engineering Experience?

What do you bring to the table except your Marxist Leninist viewpoint?

Way off topic munchkin.

Knowing that you have a limited vocabulary and memory, I see that your caretaker is occupying you with watching the Wizard of OZ again. That is so sweet.
