Boris Johnson's hopes of honouring his 'do or die' vow to deliver Brexit by Halloween look to be crumbling today after the DUP pulled the rug.

UK and EU negotiators after frantically trying to find a way through after coming tantalisingly close to the legal text of a settlement last night.

But the delicate process has been derailed by objections from the DUP, who complained that the mechanism for getting 'consent' from the people of Northern Ireland broke the Good Friday Agreement.
