This Exchange Sums Up For Me On How Pointless This Impeachment Inquiry Has Become

WNU Editor: I have yet to see one witness providing evidence of a crime that President Trump can be impeached on. Unless the Democrats can produce someone with evidence, this entire inquiry has been a waste of time. then

Hahahahaha. Whoever was working the ticker at CNN was redlining their Harvard diploma with that on-the-fly spin. Having to invent a new "damning" headline as the current one was being shot to pieces must've gotten that guy's heart beating for the first time in years.

Dear Editor:
This is a legal undertaking by elected officials. As such, it should be allowed to run its full course. You are judging it well before it is over. If the proceedings turn out to be a huge mistake, wrong, the public will be fully aware of it. For you to post nearly daily your dislike of these proceedings is to reveal how partisan you are and indifferent to legal and traditional procedures granted the House under the Constitution. Your taking a contemptuous stand is a clear indication of your bias. That being the case, why do you post references to ongoing procedures unless you do not care that your site is now a right of center dumping ground for Trump support rather than what you claim it to be: a site devoted to jihad and war.

Sondland detailed how the president instructed him and others to work with Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, to establish preconditions with Ukraine before Trump would grant its new president a White House meeting or authorize the release of nearly $400-million in congressionally-appropriated U.S. military aid that Ukraine desperately needed to defend itself from Russian-backed separatists. Trump wanted Ukraine to publicly announce it would investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, a leading 2020 Democratic presidential contender, and Biden’s son, and that it would pursue the debunked conspiracy theory that Ukraine - not Russia - interfered in America’s 2016 election.

Sondland’s testimony built on earlier disclosures by State Department officials and national security aides who reported their concerns that Trump was extorting foreign assistance for his personal political benefit. Yet unlike the career diplomats and military professionals whom Trump and congressional Republicans have attacked as partisans or second-hand sources, Sondland was a major financial supporter of the president and spoke to him often as ambassador. Sondland said he worked with Giuliani “at the express direction of the president.” While Sondland testified that he and others opposed linking Ukraine policy to an investigation of the Bidens, "We knew that these investigations were important to the president.”

“Was there a quid pro quo?" Sondland asked rhetorically, in his opening statement Wednesday. “The answer is yes.”

Sondland also painted a far broader picture of who was aware of the situation. He implicated Vice President Mike Pence, Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Energy Secretary Rick Perry and other senior officials. “Everyone was in the loop," Sondland testified. “It was no secret.”

Lapides the censor. You like that don't you?

Just can't get around the Biden thing.

I know nepotism, when I see it Lapides.

Let me tell you what you have done.

You have persuaded exactly zero people and pissed many off to become more partisan.

If Burisma used a significant amount of state funds to show profit expect there to be demonstrations on Ukrainians that make Biden and by extension the Democrats look bad. Enjoy.

As the editor has stated, liberals post the most and conservatives email. If that has changed and conservatives duke it out with the liberals, then I say "Good!"

I for one will be around posting here as long as the Parrot, Bob, Antitroll, & Chud (Who as it happens turned out to be a PhD) are posting here.

What is amazing is that a PhD whined that you can call a conservative an arch-conservative, but you cannot call a liberal an arch-liberal. There are definitions and common usage and you can't change it, he mewled.

Interesting that a person complains there is not enough war news, but I know I can always find the dude on a story with an American political angle. I see conservatives criticize Republicans and Democrats, but I never see the Dude criticize Democrats.

The purported Canadian Leftists do, but it is not bi-partisan endeavor on their part, but a strictly anti-American one.

I find it funny that the dude with the nice sheepskin is the least knowledgeable and least interesting person here.

Because your the bait! I have been saying this click bait mentality of the Media is killing us. Judgements should be made with historical lenses set to high but the Media can't do this and make money. Sad, but true. If they were doing their Job half the stories would be gone.
