RT: Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov seen covered in smoke in FIRST VIDEO

Firefighters have rushed to tackle a blaze which is raging aboard Russia’s sole aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov. Fire started during repair work and rapidly spread along the deck.

Greyish smoke is seen billowing from the vessel's deck. A fire truck and an ambulance van are also present at the scene.

Do the Russians have fire watches.

A fire watch is a boring job. It is very boring. It could be worse. A person could being cleaning a latrine, the rest of the bathroom, living spaces or the kitchen.

Bring fire watch consists of sitting non your butt. For 15 minutes or longer. The chair you use needs a cushion.

When you have a welder welding something, you have a seaman on site monitoring the the area. The welder makes his weld and wanders off to the next job. The fire watch stays for 15 minutes or so and waits to see that everything cools down.

When the welder is actually welding the seaman is on the other side of the bulkhead making sure the paint or other things do not catch fire.

Maybe the Russians have fire watches. Maybe they don't. It is the 1st thing I would check.
